Protesters “Allies” Turn Against Them Call Them “Rabble”
Tea Time Blog ^ | August 12, 2009 | Michael P. Tremoglie

There are those who have taken command of the situation by actively protesting the health system reform proposals of President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. They appear at town hall meetings with their legislators and vocally denounce what is being proffered. Some in the liberal mainstream media have been called many unsavory names. Democrats have called them un-American and Nazis.

This is to be expected. What is not so anticipated is the willingness by some kindred spirits protesters to condemn them. They do so faster than they condemn Obama and the Democrats. They call the protesters rabble.

They are embarrassed by the verbal denunciations of those with whom they concur. They urge them to be calm and to act with what they claim is integrity and decorum. In other words, don’t say anything until you’re asked (which they won’t be since most of these meetings are orchestrated by the legislator – especially the Democrats).

It seems to me that the only reason these meetings are receiving the notoriety they are, is because of those who comment with intensity – instead of "integrity." It is certainly the only reason ...

As we learned during the 2008 election cycle, a lot of so-called "media conservatives" are media first and conservative only occasionally.

Anyone who denounces those citizens for giving their elected leaders am earful over socialized medicine is part of the problem.

I ran into a couple of these pro-public option (not from his district) at a Doggett meeting on Sat.

She had several handwritten signs that said:

ACT LIKE AN ADULT
and
Lower your voice (I get that on the phone too LOL)

So my thoughts are, You are taking our rights, killing off what is good about the medical system and burdening our children and unborn grandchildren with TRILLIONS of debt but I can’t get passionate about it. AND you can’t stand a little yelling?

I’m signing them up for the mental health care as soon as I can.

There is no reason to be fighting against each other. The Democrats are the biggest threat right now to all of us.

“What is not so anticipated is the willingness by some kindred spirits protesters to condemn them.”

Where is that happening? I hate it when columnists make broad statements like this and don’t back them up with cites.

It’s a mirror of the illegals problem.

Rich Cconservatives hire vicious maids and tell kids to shut up if they’re persecuted because otherwise the morale of the maid “cleaning” the house is at risk supposedly.

It seems that a lot of other people who are posting here know this to be true. However, if you need a specific example it’s happening here in Pennsylvania where protesters were urged not to shout or yell or argue - by Republicans!

You don't suppose the reason for this occurring in PA is because there is only ONE party in this state - the Republicrats - who work to impose the will of the elites on the "little" insignificant serfs who should just shut up and keep paying those ever growing taxes, do you?
