Says who? A guest worker plan doesnt have to include that. Youre just assuming.
Recall please; the 1986 Amnesty? These people were prohibited for going on welfare for five (5) years .....
Or dropped an anchor baby first.
In my county, they had a crash building program (I think it was 8 new offices at 20,000 sq. ft.) plus plus they had to buy a old K-Mart store for a another place to print up the checks....
I see that once again, Mrs. Palin has not taken my free (yet incredibly valuable) advice. I have remarked more than once on FR that the former Gov. needs to "distance and distinguish herself" from her former running mate. The issue of amnesty would be a great place to start. (I understand that as #2 on the ticket, she would have to acquiesce to McStupid's position. I have no problem with her making such a statement during the campaign)
Memo to all y'all: she's not the veep candidate anymore, and therefore, free to give her opinions (as am I). She hasn't done this on amnesty, and, frankly, I believe that there is a great reason for this: Her opinions are really in sync with McQueeg's.
I remain unimpressed with Mrs. Palin.
I will never be accused of being in Sarah’s rah-rah corner, but, why are you bringing up this old news now, relative newbie? It only makes people like me remember that Mrs. Palin hasn’t been taking my rather excellent advice for quite some time now.
“Univision: Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and...”
Sounds to me like she is talking out of both sides of her mouth. At first she says no, she says they should be first in line for the freebee’s and handout’s.
Too bad, I liked her, but she needs to change this position or at least clarify what her postion is.
If she is for amnesty then I need to move on to another person.

She is equivocating, yes.
She knows McCain’s position. It’s two weeks from election day, the ticket is struggling with independents (and latinos). She has not had time to seriously consider the issue - it not a major one in Alaska, she was parchuted into the campaign.
She equivocates? Seems to me that in itself is a give away, given the circumstances.
Note that she has different views than McCain, only expressed after the election. Eg, Cap and Trade.
After posting on a Palin thread during shift change, MC (accused PDS patient) was found out by her handlers, appropriately sedated, and taken, trussed and gagged back to her room. Her incoherent mumbling sounded something like,
"Let me go, Let me go!!!...This was a McCain ping...I'm a private citizen!!! I don't have Facebook or Twitter, FR is all I have to communicate with the outside world!!! A breathless world is waiting for my opinions!!!!"

More importantly see post 412 linking to her RECENT (post McCain campaign) comments on illegals. She said that those who have no right to walk on the streets, have no right to get drivers linceses.
Yeah... sounds like “pro-Amnesty”./sarc
The problem these compassionate conservatives ignore is the US constitution tends to give the same rights to anyone living here, which means that any law that treats them differently as post-illegals will be ruled unconstitutional.
I am for a guest worker program where the employer, not us , is reponsible for supporting them.
Check out who the author is and I think you will find that you are quite right.
Dick Cheney ran for President. And if he ever had, had he ever come out for amnesty, it would have been a dealbreaker.
And if Pallin said this and stands by it, you can bet the farm this won’t be swept under the rug, glossed over, or taken lightly.
This is huge, and it is a dealbreaker, if true. We are not stupid, we can recognize RINOs.
So you support her because you think she is for amnesty as well. Dang!! Slave labor!!!
>>2 weeks out from the election. She was parachuted into the campaign. It is MCains campaign. He was meant to appeal to Latinos. The Republican ticket is behind, struggling not with conservatives, but with independents and Latinos (plus others). Her poll numbers in Alaska were plummeting with independents and democrats (she had been generally very popular). Illegal immigration in Alaska isnt a real issue. She hasnt had to consider/address this as a MAJOR issue previously.
What would you say with all that, the first time the question is raised?<<
Say anything, betray the Constitution, throw away your integrity, just say ANYTHING to get elected. That’s the answer you’re looking for?
Don't you think it might be a good idea to check out the veracity of the author -- 'the dirty digger'? I personally woulddn't believe that crumbbum if he swore one as many Bibles as he has billions of dollars/pounds.

correction...never ran for president
This doesn't suit you? "It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country."
She accepted the VP role, part of the ticket. She didn’t set the policy.
You want her to turn around and kill the campaign?
She equivocated? Ain’t that enough of a hint?
She has come out recently against Cap and Trade (a McCain policy)? So assuming her postions are McCains are wrong.
She is only starting to express her views, now free from the constraints of being a Gov and subjected to ethics complaints. Give her time.
Would you mind shring with us when and where she said anything remotely resembling that?
