How does an article like this get into the New York Times editorial?
Breaking Down Borders: Korea ^ | 6th August, 2009 | Han

The last couple posts were largely written from the perspective of me trying to put forth what I thought Clinton's summit meant now and what it could mean in the future. But, for today's post -- and I'm trying very hard to refrain from posting for the sake of posting, I'm going to have to criticize probably the worst editorial I've come across in a long time and try to undo the disservice to the American public that the New York Times has just committed. It's definitely worse than the fairly recent editorial from the Los Angeles Times on which I had so much to say.

I think the term “engagement” defines as “political, monetary support” regardless of political party. China/NK has tremendous sway over politicos in the US... obviously.

It should be the reverse if anything. The U.S. should how tremendous sway over politicos in China/N.K.

It’s like the author had to use the word, “engagement” as if it were describing some detailed, laid-out policy.

The whole deal with Clinton was faked anyway. No one could have negotiated their release in the time Clinton supposedly did. They had reached an agreement before Clinton went there, and one of the stipulations was most likely that Hillary didn’t show up to get the women. I can only wonder at what the communist would be dictator, Bozo the WH clown, gave up to secure their release in order to cause a diversion(which didn’t work, BTW) from his health care disaster.
