Here is video of Democrat Majority Leader Steny Hoyer being challenged by "Tea Party" Protesters in New York yesterday as he tried to give his talking points about how great the Obama Administration is doing. But many in the crowd gathered would have none of that.
Several told Hoyer openly that "you are lying to us." One man, who said he is a registered Democrat, made a truly profound statement:
"Why would you guys try to stuff a health care bill down our throat in 3-4 weeks, when the President took six months to pick what he wanted for a dog for his kids? What are you doing?"
Hoyer had no answer for that. Instead he told others in the crowd that the protesters were like the same type of crowd he was sure gathered in the 1800's to oppose the building of the Erie Canal! . . . . . (Watch Video)

Congress needs to wake up that the American people have more common sense than they do.
Anyone who would express such indifference to constituents needs to be cleaned out of office permanently.
Another question: If the plan's not good enough for Congress, why is it good enough for the rest of us?

Man oh man, these ivory tower lifers in congress have NO idea who they are trifling with LOL. I put my full faith in the American people to shine the light of day on these folks and send them back after this recess with their tails between their legs. Sunlight is the best disinfectant!
I think it is becoming more and more obvious that elections don't matter. If elected officials see the polls, and go to town halls and see the anger, and if the elected officials shrug it all off, then you have to wonder why they aren't worried about the next election cycle.
Don't hold your breath for 2010 and 2012. Your votes don't count any more.

Hoyer tries to compare this massive socialist health care program to the building of the Erie canal! LOL! WHat struck me was the condescending way he was talking to the people! “Let me tell you something” or “the people protesting don’t understand.” Good Lord!
