Here is video coverage from Pittsburgh where at least four people are dead following a deadly gym shooting there. Reportedly, a man wearing a black hat walked into an aerobics room filled with women last night, turned out the lights, and then opened fire. A witness said at least 30-40 shots rang out. Information is still sketchy, but at least four are dead and others wounded.
At least four people are dead after a gunman opened fire at an LA Fitness gym outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tuesday evening, police said. Several others were wounded.
"We have four confirmed deceased," said Charles Moffatt, Allegheny County police superintendent. "We have at least 10 wounded in various hospitals throughout the area."
The gunman, whose name was not immediately released, was among the fatalities that included three women, authorities said.
The shooter entered the fitness center around 8 p.m. and went straight to an aerobics class, where he opened fire, Moffatt said. The gunman shot dozens of rounds from multiple handguns, according to police estimates. . . . . . . . . . . . . . (Watch Video)

Good thing the shooter wasn’t a professional, there may have been more casualties. I understand that a calloused female caused the man’s anguish...but...it still doesn’t make killing right.

I was surprised the shooter wasn’t brought down in Bridgeville by another patron. You’re not talking about a gun free zone in that part of Allegheny and Washington counties.
According to one of the links on the Drudge Report, the killer was named George Sodini. The women who were killed were Heidi Obermier, Elizabeth Gannon, and Jody Billingsley. Several other women were shot, including Sodini’s ex-girlfriend. The fitness center is about 10 miles south of Pittsburgh.
My comment was tongue in cheek re PA......when I first read the article I originally thought it occurred in Kalifornia....
Gotcha. It is indeed a tragedy. It will be interesting to find out in the next few days if he was actually targeting someone there or if he was just a misogynist and just taking his anger out on women in general. Lots of conceal carry licenses in Allegheny County. It’s a shame this was in a fitness center. I doubt if anyone actually packs while working out. Well, maybe people will try to now...
