No Truth to Latest Rumors (Palin)
Facebook ^ | 8/1/09 | Meg Stapleton

Posted on 08/01/2009 11:54:27 AM PDT by LA Woman3

Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent “story” (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island).

Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to “quit making things up.” We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it.

Just as the birthers insist on Obama releasing his long form birth certificate, the Far Left will demand that the Palins prove their love to one other or else the AK report is true.

Okay, for those who want to see the Obama birth certificate — go over to this thread for some *state action* on the matter.... :-)

And state action *is the solution* to this birth certificate issue — something that I’ve been proposing since right after the election... let’s *get on it*...

There are two kinds of defamation: libel and slander. Libel is publication (internet and/or print) intended to injure someone's reputation, without justification or any lawful excuse. When suing for libel, damages do not have to be proven. Slander is spoken, and one has to prove damages when suing for slander.

Lawyer Up but wait for a big fish (ie: MSM).

the SRM wants to destroy the Gov. any chance they can get. they’ll take the most inconsequential things Palin does good or bad to try and spin a negative narrative, even if its lies to try to take her down. when in reality her support with “real” Americans goes up.

Let's stay on topic here. There's enough other topics for that.

Three paid jobs there and I barely survived due to Aspen’s high prices

I skied in Aspen once and was amused by the opulent decor of McDonald's in that town --- crystal chandelier hanging from a cathedral ceiling above the 'dining room' ... wondered what Micky D's pays their burger flippers in Aspen ???

Actually, for full disclosure, I didn't go into the McD there, but saw it from the outside ... an amusing sight ... Went to a real restaurant for steak instead :)

Okay, that was your stupid post in #14... mine was in post #17... LOL...

Note what I made clear to you... there, in Post #17

Oh, and by the way...

You were saying also... “get people away from supporting Palin,”

You may not realize it, but I voted for Palin (I don’t know if I voted for McCain, though.. LOL..). But..., really... I support Palin and have posted that here in several places... “Go Palin!”... she’s one I would certainly vote for...

Yeah... the fact of the matter — as we all know from personal experience (or you should know) — is that there are many times when a couple wouldn’t speak to each other. Or there are times when they get mad and even move out for a while (I’ve seen that with other relatives, too), and then later on they get it worked out and everything is okay.

You can’t go by what happens in just one day or even one week, but what the overall tone and tenor of the marriage is, over the long run. I know that and everyone else should know that, too...

I have only been married for two years.

Not really an experianced person on these matters.

but I can tell you what I noticed that really helps. A short memory on negative/stress induced comments. Yes there are things that have to be worked out. but you can’t take any anger or foolish comments from one day into the next day. The credit goes to my wife for being upset at 6pm and then everything is perfectly cool by 8.

A divorced Sarah Palin right here in Long Island????
There could've been a teensy bit of a silver lining to that.
(...'cause, y'know, I'd have a shot...)

That’s good and I’m glad to hear it. And I wouldn’t want to say anything specific about you and your family. I can only say what I’ve found out elsewhere and it may not apply to you (or anyone else, either). But, there are some people who do have a tendency to suppress things that bother them, and they actually do want to be “okay” on things, but they let an underlying thing (or two or three and so on) build up over a period of time and then it explodes. I only say that because I remember one person telling me that this is how it happens with her. She pretty much admitted to putting those kinds of things away quickly and everything was back to normal. But, she also admitted to holding it in and ignoring it for long periods of time until a certain number of these things accumulated, and then it was “boom”...

But, again, that’s just something that one person said...

Yeah, well that is how I am with everyone else. Things can build up, build up. and then it explodes.. I can yell and cuss my heart out. When there is a trainwreck, it is usually a pretty good one. LOL

but it is never like that with her. I am not sure how to explain it. She is almost 21. I am 23. We took all of this on very young. have two girls (twins). I find myself looking up to her. I don’t want say like a mother figure. but I would say with the exact same kind of respect. I think I have cursed directly at her once, and I felt so horrible about it that I couldn’t sleep that night. As for her. she is so cool. so easy and so fun to be around. and when she sometimes gets angry, it never lasts very long. and she wants to make up quickly. I spend time worrying about things while she is so positive and optimistic.

so we mesh together really well.
