Saundra gushes: Mitt Romney has a wonderful family and he saved the Olympics.

Perfect illustration of how the handsome Romney, with his reassuring daddy's-home image, is the quintessential "Ladies' Candidate." He appeals to women, especially traditional Republican women, on a level that most men don't even perceive, let alone understand.

And Saundra is the typical "lady" who will support Romney because he makes her feel so safe and warm and secure inside. There's a reason so many Romney supporters like to use the word "grown-up" when describing Romney and his camp: it's a daddy thing, and of course, anyone who thinks Romney is a phoney-baloney big government nanny stater is described as "childish."

And Saundra, come ON -- "Saved" the Olympics? PUHleeze. Get real. Saying that is like pointing at a slice of bologna and claiming that it's steak.

This woman doesn't get it at all.

I'm so sick of people who claim to be conservative fawning over slick RINOs like Romney, Huckabee and McCain.

Those guys are no better than the touchy-feely, bleeding heart Democrats.

He’s also a wimpy girly man...

No eye candy there..

Not exactly the ingredients for a *THUD*

Now if Harrison Ford was running...

It's the nature of the beast for women to fall for candidates like Romney, and I think one of the unconscious reasons the Founders declined to give women the vote (though Biblical philosophy, wise as it is, was probably the more "conscious" reason).

We women in the Western world are so used to being very nearly on a par with men in most ways that on a conscious level, we rarely even percieve that men are our only defenders. When you grew up semi-rural as a baby sister in a large family of otherwise all boys -- kind, loving, big brothers -- you learned in a very basic way that females are always at the mercy of males bigger and stronger than them. Period. It's maybe why I love men and boys as much as I do.

I think I'm one of few who consciously understands that really, men are my only defenders and on this worldy plane (as opposed to what God bestows), a female's freedom and independence is solely a result of the graciousness of men.

But subconsciously, all women know this, I think. It's maybe why so many women hate, resent, and belittle men. And I think it's also why when women see a politician who comes across as a good-husband-like protector, provider, and daddy, she will subconsciously put too much stock in those qualities. A THINKING woman, like you and me (!), will recongize and anticipate that tendency, even on a subconsious level, and bypass it to think on the bigger scale.

Just my take on it. I consider Romney even more dangerous than Obama in the long run because Romney is the better illusionist.

LOL - feel the love! I agree, though. He looks like a used car salesman to me.

Now if Harrison Ford was running...

When I was a young "thang," (teenager to young adult) that man used to make me weak in the knees. Han Solo and Indiana Jones were just about the sexiest characters ever and Ford was a dreamboat.

Then, Harrison got a stupid perm and an ear piercing and started mouthing liberal stuff and I got turned off.

Now, Todd Palin on the other hand.... ;-)

Yes Todd Palin is cute but young..

I figure HF is no more liberal than Romney...

So if the MittWitts are going to act like swooning groupies...

and go lusting after a liberal guy ...

May as well be someone who is easy on the eyes...

:)

I own that DVD for many reasons.

I love the music and the era of innocence it evokes.

And another reason is young Harrison Ford.

"Ain't he neat?"

Oh, yes.

I watched “Blade Runner” again yesterday. My father took me to see that when it came out, I was all of 8 and mighty impressed with it. Saw the most recent Indiana Jones movie a few weeks ago... not so much. The stuntwork alone reduced it to a really bad cartoonish caricature.

Not everyone needs to join the military. It’s not like Romney could have made them. I actually like his an answer to the question except for the self aggrandizing “helping me get elected” comment. His kids are adults.

However Saundra his family life is not relevant to anything. “Good father? (blank) you go play with your kids!” His terrible record in office is what should concern you.

Save your energy to fight obama !

The GOP can't fight Obama effectively with a weak and flawed weapon. Now is exactly the time when the party needs to fight it out about what the party principles really are, and what kind of candidates are acceptable.
