Another Democratic Member of Congress in Ethics Scandal

As soon as the country figures out that there are two sets of rules in the US (one for Democratic members of congress, one for the rest of us) we can save much time and aggravation.

California Congress woman Laura Richardson is joining Democratic party colleagues, Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, John Murta, et al, who are have been, or will be under investigation.

Richardson bought a house in an upper-middle-class Sacramento California neighborhood for $535,000 in early 2007 after she was elected to the Assembly (She already owned two houses, one in her Long Beach district and the other in San Pedro). She defaulted on the mortgage so the bank foreclosed. Richardson's home was foreclosed on,James York a real estate investor purchased the property out of foreclosure, but soon the bank took the property back and gave it to the Congresswoman, something that would have never happened if she wasn't a member of congress:

Is there room in Madoff’s cell for corrupt dirtbags in Congress to share his cell space? I guess not as there are more to come. Use GITMO for corrupt politicians. Or, will that cause overcrowding?

There is as much chance of any of these DemonRAT being convicted and imprisoned on *ANY* charges as there is for the sun to rise in the West tomorrow morning.

DemonRAT Ted Kennedy was never charged with vehicular homicide for the death of MaryJo Kopechne. And he has been re-elected every term since then.

DemonRAT Gerry Studds was never penalized for statutory rape of a young Congressioinal page boy. And he was re-elected every election cycle until he retired.

DemonRAT Barney Frank was never charged nor censured for running a prostitution ring from his appartment. He is re-elected every cycle and chairs the Congressional Finance Committee.

There are many more examples, but these are the first few that came to mind.

Limit their terms of office. If it will not be done through legislation, let it be done through our votes.

California Congress woman Laura Richardson in (2008) denied she was even in foreclosure.

The question was asked: "... did Richardson accept the "tax-free per diem from the State of California" to pay for the mortgage on her new home in Sacramento, which she may have elected not to pay in order to pump money into her campaign for Congress?"

And what if it can’t be done with votes?

Good line, but you could easily have thrown in Democratic appointed officials in the executive branch and Democratic fatcat political contributors as well.

And it's not only a matter of saving time and aggravation, it's a matter of voting the 'Rats out of office!

You forget that the American people are waking up and their wrath and RAGE are coming. Our heritage is not one that has patience for tyranny and traitors.

Remember the words in Tora, Tora, Tora:

“I fear all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and have filled him with a terrible resolve.”

Elitists and in-your-face politicians in the House and Senate have wakened the American people. IMO, they’re TOAST. RINOs are toast as well.

With all my heart I hope you are right.

But the American people have notoriously short attention spans. The country as a body has the worst case of ADD I have ever seen.

What I fear is that we are at the “bread and circuses” stage of our nation’s history. As long as the majority of the people are fat and entertained, they will continue to vote for the politicians that promise to keep them fat and entertained.

The American people realize that it’s their very lives at stake in this DeathCare bill. Zero and Congress have created their own Holocaust II whereby they (Big Brother) will pick and choose who lives and who dies. In other words, legalized MURDER. If that is entertainment for anyone, they need to re-read history and repeat the chapter on Nazi Germany.

Excerpt:
Congresswoman’s abandoned house angers neighbors
Laura Richardson’s former home in Sacramento’s upscale Curtis Park neighborhood is in disrepair. Residents say they have appealed to her and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi without success.
By Jeff Gottlieb
June 12, 2009

Reporting from Sacramento — John Bailey thought it was great when his neighbor was elected to the House of Representatives in 2007.

“Not everyone lives next door to a congresswoman,” he said.
But two years later, he doesn’t feel so lucky. The congresswoman’s house is abandoned and in disrepair, “a blight on the neighborhood,” Bailey said.

He thinks the way that Rep. Laura Richardson (D-Long Beach) has treated her Sacramento home tells far more about her than her voting record.

“I wouldn’t want anyone that irresponsible to represent me,” said Bailey, like Richardson a liberal Democrat. “What I don’t get is how she has the time to visit with Fidel Castro but doesn’t have time for her own house. If you can’t manage your own household, you probably shouldn’t get involved in international affairs.”

He’s not alone. Neighbors have complained to the city, written letters and e-mails to Richardson and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi , but the three-bedroom house remains an eyesore. Neighbors just wish she would sell it or let it go into foreclosure, anything to get it into the hands of someone who would care.

“She shows total disregard for everyone in the neighborhood,” said Sean Padovan, a retired police sergeant. “She ought to be embarrassed and ashamed.”

Richardson did not return phone calls for this story.
