Sometimes, for some people, institutions of higher learning really are a waste of time.
Sharing the stage with racist and bigoted Prof. Gates is longtime race pimp Cornell West.
Is that anything like the single bullet theory?
;-/
Didn't the LA Times give is the "Magic Negro" theory?
I also believe Jerry Seinfield gave us the "Magic Loogie Theory", but that's another story.
Sometimes it’s fun to try to figure out exactly what Cornel West is saying. However, the fact that his sentences take many prolonged trips around the universe and his lectures are like Marxist versions of The Jabberwocky, it’s hugely challenging and not for beginners.
There was obviously a “second spitter”.
I have worked at places where Affirmative Action was probably the only reason blacks were hired there, years ago, so I can actually understand the reason it was necessary, once. But Affirmative Action is, itself, not only inherently wrong, but takes away from the significance of the accomplishment of black Americans.
All Americans should be proud of their accomplishments and their successes without having to point to using a government program as a crutch, something SCJ Clarence Thomas can proudly do.
By standing there and proclaiming that he is a Harvard Professor because of Affirmative Action, he diminishes the achievement. If he could say he became a Harvard Professor based on his merits and abilities, that would be something to brag about. He makes himself a token, a quota-filler, and smiles about it, while slamming a black Supreme Court Justice who endured the worst of times and yet succeeded anyway... landing one the highest posts in the country.
So when is President Obama going to call Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice and J.C. Watts over to the WH for a beer and have a 'teachable moment'? I thought they said we were all going to come together and unite as a people and have "Change" and "Hope"? We actually have a President, the Chief Law Officer of the U.S. calling a police officer stupid. This change is not good for America.
