The slam against doctors and nurses really made my blood boil! I’ve worked around MDs and RNs for over 30 years and have seen the dedication to patient care. Sure, I’ve seen a very few who probably shouldn’t have gone into the profession in the first place, but each and every profession has those types of people.

I’ve also seen what happens to patient care when it is taken out of the provider’s hands by “The Rules Which Must Be Followed”. Govt run healthcare is a recipe for disaster.

And Obama is an idiot.

The AP reported:

Six months in office, President Barack Obama sought to rally support for sweeping health care legislation Wednesday night as Congress struggled to find agreement on a historic overhaul. He vowed to reject any measure "primarily funded through taxing middle-class families."

At a prime-time news conference, Obama defended his decision to set a midsummer deadline for the House and Senate to act, even if it isn't met. "I'm rushed because I get letters every day from families that are being clobbered by health care costs, and they ask me can you help," he said.

The stakes are huge not just for everyday Americans, but also for Obama, who is putting much of his credibility on the line to gain congressional passage. His stepped-up public role comes as he faces rising criticism from Republicans, sliding public approval ratings and divisions within his party. Obama acknowledged that many people are uneasy about growing federal budget deficits and the fast-rising government debt.

He said that without a deadline for action, a recent proposal to curtail the growth in Medicare costs would not have materialized "until who knows when." He said in the past few days, leaders in both houses had agreed to incorporate it into legislation taking shape.

I tuned in by accident for one minute to hear a reporter (?) or townsperson (?) ask the obvious question, “if it’s so good, why don’t YOU sign up for it” (and I wanted to add YOU DIPWAD!)

SSomeone actually had the guts to ask that simple question of king Obamessiah? I bet he gave a nice wandering NON answer to the question that did not contain a “yes” or “no” answer.

Has 2 offices: civil rights and minority health. Why? Will these be given special/preferred treatment? Race should not be prioritized in this at all..

Be warned, though, the question “If it’s so good, why aren’t YOU going to sign on to it?” is NOT the end-all question here, because if we press that, they’ll include legislation that includes Congress and the Pres, then the minute it passes, repeal that section!!!

You are absolutely correct about dem’s attack playbook.

In ths case the dems need the doctors onboard with the plan and this just labels all doctors as money grabbers and not at all thinking what’s best for the patient.

If I was the GOP I would drive that home and chip away AMA support.

This guy, for all the talk of “how smart he is” is too stupid for specifics, literally.

He’s a lip flapper, who just gives blank checks to others to do whatever they want with some vague direction from him, and he goes and plays golf or whatever. He’s not a leader, has absolutely no inate talent, would have been laughed of the stage when he announced he was running for the white house had his skin been white.

He is “king” Obamessiah, he flies him and his family entourage where he wants when he wants on the nations dime, he flies in guys from Chicago just to make him pizza, he flies he and his wife to NYC so he can go out for dinner and his wife walks around on $500 sneakers carrying $6,000 purses, his kids walk around in designer duds and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
