MLK’s niece has said that he was a Repub.
I’m not sure why Republicans want to claim MLK as one of their own. He was an anti-war Christian Socialist. (Yes, he was a Republican at one time...but went farther and farther left during the 60s)

Remember that back then this wouldn't have been odd as the Dems were blocking civil rights.
