Thank you for endorsing the fight against you, Obortion.

A sobered President Obama delivered remarks outside the Cape Coast Slave Castle in Ghana, Africa today. He had read his own ancestor’s name on the wall of the building, listed as a slave owner and trader, and he apologized to the black people of Africe and America...

Representatives of the citizens of both countries will meet later this month to decide whether or not

1. His apology was genuine, with the right level of sincerity...

2. Whether he had a tone of sorrow in his voice..

3. Whether videos actually did capture a sob, indeed a tear or two...

4. What monetary compensation he should personally pay to the descendants of his family’s victims..

I am so over this slavery-Bad America stuff.

There is still slavery in Africa and other countries. The US is the ONLY country that had slavery on a major scale and did away with it.

I am also tired of being seen as a ‘typical white person’ by my Black co workers. Some of them I had become friends with...but lately since obama has been in office, I feel the distance and the anger and have finally come out of denial that American Blacks ( with rare rare exceptions) will NEVER get over slavery.

I will always—no matter what we share—be a “Honkie” in their minds no different than a Klan member or slave owner.
In the 70’s I demonstrated for Equal rights, etc. Now, I just get a lot of anger and entitlement attitudes. I really fear that we are headed for a racial war in this country. The times have changed, and the “hate” coming from the minorities is there and growing. And my distance is growing too.

PEOPLE OF POVERTY are tire of Presidents using their country as a nice photo opportunity and then basically ignore the needs of the country....we give millions and millions and never do what is needed...extinguish the money laundering and vile oppression of drug thugs and educational systems that keep these poor people down. They need companies to train and educate....why not send the young recently graduated, college bound,or retired business and educators pay their way, food and boarding to volunteer and start changing lives......instead of feeding into the corruption.

A billboard showing US President Barack Obama (R) and his Ghanaian host President John Atta-Mills lines a street in Accra. Obama has received a jubilant welcome in Ghana as he begins his first official trip to sub-Saharan Africa where he will present his vision on good governance. (AFP/Aminu Abubakar)

Did he have anything to say about his ARAB RELATIVES who were SLAVE TRADERS? Did he say he’d make reparations out of his own income? Did he admit that he’s a Mozlem, too?

He couldn’t go to Kenya because he couldn’t get the Kenyans to remove all the Statues to him in time. He doesn’t want the MSM seeing the documentation that he was born in Mombasa.

Evils that...uhh...still...err..exist in this world.

Hmm.....would that be referencing Filipina and Sri Lankan servants in Saudi Arabia and the Emirates who become suicidal in order to break their bondage? Or corporate America?

Let's revisit Muslim and African history to discover who sold slaves for export to the New World as well as the Ottoman Empire's white slave trade.

I would like all FReepers and FR lurkers to view Obama speaking in Ghana to the rather chubby bunch of politicians and bureaucrats -

Pay special attention the sour expressions on his face and his obvious attitude and the missing hand and arm movements that Barack Hussein Obama Junior made/makes in the USA in his perpetual political campaign

Let what you seen of Obama speaking in Guano sink in

Now recall the pre-WWII films of Hitler and Stalin speaking to huge crowds and the look on their faces and the words they spoke

What was the point of Obama's visit to Ghana (from a U.S. policy point of view), Norm?

Last I'd heard, Ghana was a refuge of ex pat American Blacks for a time. Robeson, DuBois, Malcom X and Maya Angelou.

Slave markets were open in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until 1960,slaves weren’t freed until 1970. I saw the markets when I was in KSA in 1985.

Not surprised at all. Shari'a allows this even if the 'Official State policy' does not.

In the 70's, a classmate got a job in Saudi Arabia, which paid beau coups bucks, accommodations and travel. He tried to go out of the compound he lived in to visit the Casbah, to see the sights, to visit a local restaurant. He found out he was tailed by police, no one was allowed to talk freely with him and after a couple forays into the public skipped it altogether.

Weekends off, he would fly to Athens or Nicosia or anywhere to spend free time away.

Anyone who thinks the slave trade is purely historical hasn’t looked around lately. Human traficking is big business still today.
