Sarah, Sarah Storms Are Brewing in Your Eyes

(Excerpt: You knew that when David Letterman had the temerity to gratuitously and vulgarly insult her daughter, Sarah Palin was not going to react like a Bob Michel Republican.

(He was the former House minority leader who had this terrible habit of smiling after a gratuitous slur was made against Republicans by one of the House Democrats. As W. James Antle III, wrote a year ago in the American Spectator - “Bob Michel Republicans …are happy being in the minority.”)

Sarah Palin was not going to take Letterman’s abuses like Bill O’Reilly did when he appeared on Letterman’s show.)

In the game when the stakes are high,
Brandid,
A heart was brandid while my senses stood by,
Oh I would never find another girl like you,
For happy endings it takes two,
With fire and ice, oh

She could be the Joan of Arc for the Republican Party (sans burning at the stake of course).

Considering how some Republicans are constantly providing firewood to Vanity Fair, I'm not sure the author's analogy is spot on.

Very well written--and encouraging--piece.

Good point about Peggy Noonan showing her colors like a junior high clique queen toward the hot new girl in school whose upsetting the status quo by taking the attention she needs.

Let's pray that there are enough people with good sense and decency to foist Sarah past all the petty people who either fear her or are so used to type casting in politicians they just don't get her--- on BOTH sides of the aisle.

It would be nice to have a REAL adult in charge, instead of the poser we have in the White House today.

Very true. I think this thing needs to get circulated and Palin needs to be the rights to the song so she can use it as her campaign theme. If nothing else Limbaugh can use it as his update themesong for her.

You notice Kudlow on CNBC endorsed her?

I wonder how deep Letterman's pockets are? Apparently he's made some new comments this week and her lawyer already issued a blanket warning.

From Sarah's Twitter....she's moving forward!

I didn’t know that. That guy must be trying to appeal to the Manhattan Upper West Side crowd.

I hope Palin engages in a no holds barred, scorched earth, take no prisoners policy when it comes to 0bama and his administration.

I did note this... but it does seem she is being burned at the stake, though not literally. And a number of Republicans are supplying the firewood.

Letterman started up again on Tuesday night with a Palin top ten list and a bunch of “jokes” and followed up with a “joke” that he had “naughty thoughts’ of Palin when he saw her give interviews while fishing and wearing her “waders”. I haven’t checked to see if he said anything last night.

Also, in an apparent attempt to get back the ratings he lost to Letterman due to the Palin controversy, Conan O’Brien joined in with some Palin jokes on his Wednesday night show.

Yeah and Tremoglie notes that too and he offers some reasons why. What do you think of the reasons he wrote? Especially what he said about Noonan.

Noonan is an embittered RINO at bet, a closeted Democrat is more accurate. She's just waiting to pick her time to publicly jump the fence.

And he's correct: Republicans have this irritating fear of fighting back. They want the Press to love them, but the truth is that the Press -N E V E R- will. I have a better chance of raising the titanic with a length of rope and a dingy before the press will embrace Republicans. Once they get that thru their heads, and realize that they got nothing to lose by fighting back except elections, then we'll have a chance.

And a 'Cuda will lead the way.

Now that Sarah has resigned, I think she has lost in credibility for holding public office. People who really want to serve will fight for that position to the last breath -- seems to me, she gives up too easily.

Sarah is charming and she is beautiful -- if she looked like Cindy Sheehan, she'd have been forgotten long ago.

When most of your time is spent fighting the frivilous ethics probs and racking up personal bills, you can't do the work of the governor.

What do you do? Spend taxpayer money fighting off the idiots who want to destroy you? Or do you step away so the money goes to work for the people of the state?

She explained it all at her resignation speech. "I can't work for you while spending YOUR money fighting these turds."(Paraphrased)
