Democracy is not the only thing that is incompatible with Islam. So is freedom, progress, economic growth, science, history, math and good food.

Islam and Western Culture are totally incompatible. The Muslims may, for a time, pretend to embrace Western Culture, but it would be nothing but a ruse. We must always keep that in mind.
