The RNC as usual FAILED....failed to mentor and protect her, failed to help her financially, politically, and failed to defend her family.
They stood shaking in their boots, afraid and immobilized while the entire family was brutalized for 9 months straight.

Steele is pretty clearly now off the table, out of the pasture and lost in the woods.

Honestly, who gives a crap what Steele says from day to day. ONe day he is vehemently pro life, next day ehhh.
One day the Party is a bastion of conservatism,,,the next big tent and for amnesty...
Steele is a lightweight, no account, useless, powerless, and soon to be forgotten RNC chair.

All this tripe is based on Palin staying under the GOP label. If I was her, I would drop the GOP label and package herself as a fiscally conservative Independent. This way, she could find support from the undercurrent of discontent running among Independent’s concerning Dem’s and Repub’s not being able to fix our current problems. She would concievably draw from moderate/conservative Dems and true conservative Repubs, as well as Libertarians.

You are exactly right. I’ve been astounded by the deafening silence on the part of the repubs that should be standing up for her. It’s disgusting.
