Obama’s Honduras hypocrisy explained in one simple paragraph

President Obama can’t speak out in support of Iranian protestors fighting for democracy, but can speak out against Hondurans defending their democracy.

Here’s how AmericanThinker.com explains the Honduras situation in one short, but brilliant paragraph.

“Imagine that Barack Obama announced that he was going to hold a referendum on legalizing a third term for himself. Imagine that even his attorney general, Eric Holder, advised him that it was illegal. Imagine that the Supreme Court ruled that holding the referendum was unconstitutional. In spite of that, let’s imagine that Obama coerced the FEC into holding the referendum anyway. Then – let’s further imagine — we found out that Venezuelan strongman Chávez (who has pulled off a similar power grab in his own country) was financing the referendum. What should the Joint Chiefs do in such a case? And if they removed Obama from office, would they be destroying the Constitution or preserving it?”

The “good old boys” who are involved with militia’s will not be terrorists.

True, because terrorists target the innocent. But once a Guard unit has opened fire on civilians, unless fired upon first, they are not innocent. I have no doubt that the "good ol' boys" will respond appropriately with ambushes and attacks on the enemy supply troops. My money's on the militia.

In the end, it would be up to Congress to defend the constitution by impeaching the President.

I would not hold my breath waiting for the Dem's in Congress to impeach Obozo, no matter what he is proven to have done. Unfortunately many of them also deserve to be Impeached for their actions against the U.S.

I cannot speak for other States, but I do not feel threatened by the Texas National Guard or the government of the State of Texas.

Our State Law Enforcement is generally well run.

Our Texas Rangers have a reputation that is quite, but respectable.

Past attempts by outsiders to “subject” Texas have not faired well. I do not expect any other “result” to outside meddling.

"let’s imagine that Obama coerced the FEC into holding the referendum anyway. "

In four (or eight) years we won't have to 'imagine.'

You know I think we are being “tested” as a Nation.

Would God do that to us? I think so.

It is almost time to cut the bull and deal with the self destruction of the Nation. Are there any of us that are still up to it?

"You know I think we are being “tested” as a Nation."

I think you're right. It remains to be seen if there are still enough of us with the moxie to 'pass' the test.

What should the Joint Chiefs do in such a case?

They’d have no choice but Declare Martial Law, establish a curfew and arrest all Republicans and Independents. The press would not be a problem and would be needed to process and distribute information to the unjailed populace. /s

I do not think so. First I think the Pols on both sides of the isle will back away before that happens.

If not, I think the Military will refuse orders to fire on citizens as being unconstitutional orders. There are some already questioning his qualifications as Commander-in-Chief.

90% of the Military officers are patriots first, and love this country. They have taken oaths to protect and defend the Constitution. Many of the officers have bled for this nation, and faced an enemy who was committed to killing them and survived. Do you think that they will help destroy the nation? I do not think so.

There are a few officers who are politicians. Most of the Patriots know them for what they are.

This will come to a head soon. No one can predict when, but each passing day the situation deteriorates. There can be no economic recovery until Obozo is out of office.

Soon, but not soon enough, we will deal with this.

The next step for us are the 10th Amendment legislation at the State level, and we must mean what we tell DC.

Then we must expose and defeat the Cap & Trade legislation (nation killer auto self distruct mechanism).

We must expose and kill the further nationalization of industry. (Medical and others).

By this time it will be apparent how bad a failure his approach really is.

Observe, note those who are the opposition, prepare, and support State level action toward defeating our internal enemy.

Pray to God daily to save this Nation and his people.

Well stated, although the Joint Chiefs are advisors to the POTUS but not in the actual chain of command.

It would be up to the SecDef to mobilize the military and remove the POTUS (after the VP and the cabinet declared the POTUS unfit to continue, and acting on the authority of the VP).

Well, at least that's roughly what happened on '24'.

Are you talking about Potus 24 (Grover Cleveland)?

The only President that might have had an issue similar was Andrew Johnson (Potus 17). He was tried for "high crimes & misdemeanors" and was finally acquitted on all charges.

This action at the next election finally sealed the destiny of the "Radical Republicans", they were voted out of office. The public had enough of them, and Reconstruction.

Should impeachment be appropriate, this is very serious business. It takes 2/3 majority of the Senate to convict.

Actually I was referring to the TV show, with Jack Bauer as main character.

You have me at a handicap, I do not watch TV. I have no clue who Jack Bauer is.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but when it comes to TV and sports, I am a total “know nothing”. Plead guilty to that.

You have an advantage over most Americans, by not having your mind polluted from the drivel on TV. The so-called news & politics shows are unwatchable and left-wing-biased. I can only watch sports now.

My wife is a TV addict, and has been reduced to watching cooking programs. And she does not even like to cook, I do a lot of that.
