With characteristic feisty-ness, Alaska Governor Sara Palin gave her critics hell in her first interview since announcing she was stepping down as governor of Alaska (see video above). Palin gave reporters some additional insight into her reasons for resigning:
"Most candidates, most public officials get to look into a camera and say, 'you better leave your hands off my kids,'" she said. "Well I haven't been able to say that. And that double standard that's been applied, that's been a little bit frustrating."
Read or watch the video to see the Governor strike out and act coy at the same time:

I once supported Michael Steele, but his comments in this article about her having to gert her “personal house in order” taking “2012 off the table” tells me that he is same ol’ same ol’.

"Not having talked to the governor, I take 2012 off the table right now simply because given everything she's going through personally, dealing with the financial mess that all these ludicrous investigations have put her and Todd in, at the moment, I think she's trying to focus on getting her house in order, her personal house in order," Steele told FOX News.
Steele is a backstabbing coward. He played friendly and supportive during her Right to Life speech, and now draws out the knife.
Not a freaking buck to the RNC. Every penny to SarahPAC and her book.

If there is one thing liberals hate, it's someone with high standards and the courage to express them.
The hatred the left showers on Sarah Palin is directly proportional to the fear they have of her ability to expose the cockroaches to the light of day.
To: SolidWood
reminds me of Reagan. Chilling @ the ranch. The “establishment” hated him like they do Palin. She’ll get the last laugh. We know McCrap can’t raise $$ like she can.

"We have so many people who offer advice, but I'm going to continue to be, whether some of them like it or not, pretty darn independent, and not get wrapped up into a strong political machine that hasn't been extremely successful in some ways."
Maybe she is tempted to try a Perot?

Third party would not happen. She could already be effective by simply coalescing the support of the large amount of Conservatives in the Republican party.

But he also said this:
"I look forward to welcoming her out and helping us in our campaigns this fall if and when shes ready to do that. Sarah Palin will be the ultimate arbiter of when she will engage and how she will engage," he said.
That is a pretty good statement about Sarah.

She doesn't have 4 Billion bucks to fund a campaign with. She'd have to sell out to a Scaife or a Tom Golisano type and that would win her no friends.
If the primary system emerges with a few tweaks, no cross party voting, and she were to concentrate on Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, Palin could be a surprise in 2012. No longer having a base in the governing structure is not a hindrance, but her short stay in Juneau and her previous experience in Wasilla would be inadequate when measured against her potential adversaries. Both Obama and Hillary, while lacking true governing experience had a compliant, even enthusiastic press to overlook those inadequacies. Palin will have her short term as governor repeated ten times a night. She will have my vote, but I don't see much room for optimism.

Steele is a backstabbing coward. He played friendly and supportive during her Right to Life speech, and now draws out the knife.Previously I have returned Steele's letter with comments that until RNC develops some real gonads to investigate PINO's charming 52% of the American people to put him (an illegal alien and usurper) in the White House, no money from my family!
Now I will tell him to get HIS house (RNC) in order first!!

So I just called the RNC and told them that I would not contribute one red cent to them until their dismissive attitudes changed about Palin. He hung up on me.

The RNC fund raisers call me often...(We used to contribute.....) Now, I ask them to hold while I make a drink, sharpen pencils, arrange my sock drawer, etc.......then I come back and say I'll be right there....
Hold a moment I have a big contribution.....one as big as Michael Steele.....(crickets.......)

Steele “amended” his statement later. I don’t have the link on hand, but he said he didn’t mean to imply a Palin run in 2012 was off the table. He just meant any decision about 2012 was off the table for Palin right now, as she has other fish to fry.
