Mark McKinnon, vice chairman of Public Strategies & President of Maverick Media, wrote a great article for The Daily Beast titled "How her mind works" about the time he spent with Governor Palin.

This is why they hate and fear her. face it - if she is to run - she has to write a book to make some money. She is not rich. She also knows she will need to raise at least $300 million to run against Obama.

I think this is why she quit plus she did not want to campaign as governor. Obama never served as senator he was always campaigning and collecting a pay check while campaigning plus Ayers was ghost writing his books.

Palin had the choice to stand still and be a target, or leave the office and go on the offensive. Why would it have been noble to be a punching bad and get nothing done? Leaving the office, she can go on the offensive in many ways that were previously unavailable before.

I'm not sure it will work, but I admire the fortitude to make a change in tactics. I wish her well.

Yup. Unless we get conservatives enmasse to cancel cable 7 sat Tv and find free Internet TV then he will have the media soldily behind him. Eventually the media had to thorw in the towel on Carter. They will go all the way with Hussein.

The libs 24x7 have to demonize Sarah because they are afraid of her. She may be one of the only honest politicians to ave reached that high an office. Her honesty really scares them. With Sarah it is like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

I am not sure how she or another Repub will be able to raise the money needed because the middle class may be gone by 2010 or 2011.

‘Reeks’ seems to me to be not quite the right verb to use with words like moxie and self-confidence. I would choose ‘emanate’ instead. Palin emanates moxie and self-confidence.

Also, here’s a woman who could’ve asked all of us for monies to defend herself from the scurrilous charges against her. O’Reilly offered on the air to advertise such a fund for free and to kick in the max. allowed amt. of $1,000. She could’ve easily raised the money. But that would not constitute earning it. She is a conservative through and through and chose to go out and earn it.

I read today that her SarahPac has spiked in some new donations today. I am thinking when the numbers are released it’s gonna be over 2 million, I Know that number may sound crazy, but I think it will be around that amount.
The left fear Sarah because for 8 years, they were able to smear and demean Republicans such as George Bush and no one ever stood up and defended him, and he never defended himself. Sarah actually defends herself, and defends our Constitution. She has spoken out against Obama numerous times, while other Republicans come out and kiss his butt.
Libs can’t stand the fact that here is this Conservative Republican, actually standing up for what is right, she is willing to sacrifice herself for this country.
I think something must have happened on her recent trip to Kosovo, something changed in her, she saw the true sacrifice of freedom for this country, men and women sacrificing their own bodies to protect America, I think Sarah took that spirit and realized what she had to do. I think that is what she meant by a “higher calling”
She can beat Obama and they know it, otherwise they would have left her alone a long time ago. They keep on saying how insignificant she is, and how she has no political future, then how come they care so much about what she is doing and what her future goals are, they care because they are more scared to death now then they ever were

This why the left and Dems love “maverick” John McCain because he is their lap dog.

If Sarah was so stupid, ignorant, clueless etc etc. - why are they still attacking and smearing her? Because they fear her and she connects to the America that pays taxes.

EXACTLY, they loved McCain because look at him, he is the media’s biggest buddy. He stands there and does whatever they want him to do. McCain was their perfect candidate because they knew Obama could beat him, he never stood up and fought for us, even when millions of Americans were begging him to. He just stood there and said what a “great President Obama will be” if anyone wants to mention being a quitter, mention John McCain, he quit from Day 1

Exactly. There are things you can say as a private citizen (which Governor Palin now is) that you simply can't say as a sitting Governor.

I hope that she goes on the offensive. I'm ready to support her now.
