Over the past week theres been a scrap going on between the political parties as to who is the gay-friendlier. Interesting to gays probably, very boring for everyone else. But there is one aspect to all of this which still goes largely ignored - for reasons, no doubt, of cultural sensitivity - and that is the effect that the long march of multiculturalism has had on this whole issue. Basically it comes down to this question: how do you celebrate and respect cultures and religions which think you are an abomination?
Its a tricky one for the bien pensants and their political spokesman. I had the chance to find out quite how tricky when I went to a political event last week organised by the gay networking group Jake at the National Portrait Gallery, held to mark the opening of its Gay Icons exhibition (an odd collection, this. Madonna sure. But Nelson Mandela?). Nicholas Boles and Nick Herbert for the Tories and Ben Bradshaw and Chris Bryant for Labour (plus some anonymous bloke from the Lib Dems) vied with each other for the votes of an audience of 150 or so gay men.
When question time came around, I made the point to the panel that a recent survey by Policy Exchange had showed that 72 per cent of young Muslim men thought that homosexuality should be recriminalised. As the Channel 4 Dispatches programme on Mosques showed last year, there are some pretty disturbing things being said by some Imans about what is best for gays, ie death. Given the rapidly increasing proportion of the population which is Muslim, did they not think that there might be some possible problem in the future?
Needless to say this was neatly side-stepped. Or should I say, not really answered at all. Nick

I can not understand why libs have such a love affair with the headchoppers. When the Death Cultists get into power, the first people whose heads are in one room and their bodies in another, are the gays and the abortionists.
But they sure don’t mind condemning those “Damned Christian Conservatives” for standing in the way of “gay marriage.”
Because they don’t look that far ahead.
They join with anyone who is willing to attack the establishment.
Their assumption, like that of the communists who started the anti-establishment movement, is that THEY will fill the vacuum that exists after the established order is destroyed.
You’re right, though. As Bork points out in Slouching Towards Gomorrah, even in the USSR, homosexuals backed the totalitarian regime believing the state would force acceptance of them as normal. They were some of the first introduced to the trial basements.
Of course, to the far left loons, the religious right only consists of white Christian men.
The truth, as painful as it is for the far left loons, is that all faithful persons of true religions and even 97% the most barbaric societies throughout history know that marriage is between a man and woman and that unnatural sexual deviancy is perverse and wrong.
The gay crowd will be the first lined up and shot when the Muslims take over.

The increase in muslim violence against gays has resulted in greater numbers of gays voting conservative. 60% in Netherlands IIRC. Given a few more years the gays may well be more likely to vote coservative than devout Christians.
How’s that for irony?
It is because the Moslems hate Christianity and Western Civilization. The homosexuals hate Christianity because it declares homosexuality to be a sin. Homosexuals do not accept being accepted as a person, but not because of what they practice. They demand that their ‘lifestyle’ be accepted as normal. They willfully ignore the position of Moslems regarding homosexuality.
Just because you belong to a whacko group doesn’t mean that other whacko groups will like you.
they are not killing gays, they are aborting aids.
They fell free to mock the Christians and Jewish orthodoxy because they don’t chop your head off, In some places in Europe there have been gays who have been murdered in cold blood my Muslins and there has been deafening silence. Someday they are going to have to wake up and smell the mocha latte.
