Yesterday, as he and his family watched – his family apparently ill at ease – as the Flag was paraded and the Marine Corps Band played, Obama leaned over his older daughter and was heard to instruct her that there are four uniformed services of the United States: “The Army, The Marines, The Navy, and the Air Force.”
There are, of course, seven uniformed services of the United States. The US Army, The US Navy, The US Marine Corps (under the Navy), the US Air Force, the US Coast Guard, the US Public Health Service, and the US National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration.
The president’s ignorance of the uniformed services is simply another reflection of the far-left political mindset. As our nation faces ever greater danger from homicidal lunatics and tyrants that wish to destroy us (and in several cases are actively threatening us on a daily basis), we can only hope that he gets up to speed before it’s too late. He might also want to apologize to the members of the services he neglected.
I’d call him on the Coast Guard perhaps, but the other two, ehhh, nope.
Not even sure about the coasties since they are part of homeland security, but yeah, I will include them.

Quibbling? The Supreme Commander of the uniformed services does not understand the most basic structure of his command? How is that quibbling?

I wouldn’t even ‘call him’ on the US Coast Guard as being one of the uniformed services.
Most people think of our military consisting of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.
And who here thinks the US Coast Guard would be the main protector in the event of an enemy invasion?
Is the US Coast Guard represented on the Joint Chiefs of Staff? Not a chance.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) is a group of military leaders in the United States armed forces who advise the civilian government of the United States. The JCS is defined by statute and consists of a Chairman and Vice Chairman appointed by the President, and the Chiefs of service from each of the four major branches of the military.

Certainly not me. I am just pointing out that you used a quote that did not support your argument. If you would like to make a point you probably shouldn’t cite references that don’t prove your point. And may I also point out that I never said you were quibbling. I think you are very confused; is anyone helping you with your medication?
