Video: Emergency Alert – Stop the NEW Real ID – S.1261

This ALERT is regarding the MORPHING of REAL ID in to the PASS ACT. The REAL ID as you may or may not know was the failed law that snuck through congress in May of 2005 that would require all Americans to Carry a standardized FEDERAL ID card with an embedded trackable chip.

NOW I need you to contact your senate committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs IMMEDIATELY to STOP THE PASS ACT – S.1261

Special interests groups are trying to force Democrats, Independents and Republicans to support this legislation. States have been and are working to ensure drivers licenses are secure documents and have document integrity. The federal government, in spite of the states, wants to set international standards that are not needed. The federal government wants control of your state drivers license. The federal government is bribing states to go along with its plans.

What I don’t understand is since this bill is one of, if not the biggest threat to our liberty ever to come down the pike in the last 80 or so years and yet here in Free-Republic its being treated like nothing.

Before the NAZI regime became the horror it eventually did become, so many refused to see what was to take place as it was taking place before their very eyes.

Martin Niemöller was a German pastor and theologian born in Lippstadt, Germany, in 1892. Niemöller was an anti-Communist and supported Hitler's rise to power at first. But when Hitler insisted on the supremacy of the state over religion, Niemöller became disillusioned. He became the leader of a group of German clergymen opposed to Hitler. Unlike Niemöller, they gave in to the Nazis' threats. Hitler personally detested Niemöller and had him arrested and eventually confined in the Sachsenhausen and Dachau concentration camps. Niemöller was released in 1945 by the Allies. He continued his career in Germany as a clergyman and as a leading voice of penance and reconciliation for the German people after World War II. His poem is well-known, frequently quoted, and is a popular model for describing the dangers of political apathy, as it often begins with specific and targeted fear and hatred which soon escalates out of control.

I don’t know about what others may believe but, I see the repeat of history all over again.

There was a very very good movie done on one group within Nazi Germany who resisted Hitler, by trying to get the truth out. They paid for it with their lives. Could something as horrible be in America's future?

Sophie Scholl: The Final Days

Sophie Scholl was executed by guillotine by the Third Reich after she was arrested and found guilty of distributing anti-Nazi leaflets at her college campus and for this she was beheaded along with several of the other brave young God-fearing people of the “White Rose”, an underground Nazi resistance movement. This is a dramatization of that event, it is a movie that will not leave you and will have you thinking about it for days after viewing. I highly recommend this film. I found myself drawn into this movie like few other movies will do. This is brilliant stuff. The tension becomes almost unbearable. The depiction of Freisler (The judge), which might seem over the top, but is quite consistent with accounts and actual film clips of the trial, maybe even understated. He was diabolical, tyrannical and very hot tempered.

Another movie comes to mind as well. Sophie's choice. Today we have a similar situation in this country. Parents are being forced to chose between raising their children their way or the States way. If the parent decides to punish their child because of a wrong, the State calls it "child abuse."
