Government Insanity Overload
Wrote it myself, first blogged recently on SodaHead ^ | June 30, 2009 | Me

I was almost overcome by government insanity overload the other evening and writing this was the cure . . .

In 2010 we have to turn the House around big time and get the Senate going that way to. I don't want to ever vote for another politician. I only want to vote for people who know, value and act on the principles that created our great country and are selfless enough to help this country get on track by serving up to two terms. Cut the federal government to 1/3 its present size. Stoke the engines of wealth creation and prosperity by eliminating the tens of thousands of government disincentives and artificialities imposed on free enterprise. Shrink the 77,000 page tax code to 100 pages or less. Power our nation with resources we have right here and like it or not that includes nuclear power because without it we will forever be at the mercy of others. Take national sovreignty seriously for once in our lifetimes and stop the insane bleeding caused by illegals. Give us our country back. Give our states the rights they had and deserve under the Constitution. There's a thousand powers the federal government has today that it has wrongfully usurped. Respect and protect the people who grant to government whatever power it has, not the other way around. Don't steal from them, don't lie to them, don't cheat them or their parents or their children. When this happens, and it must, the frauds of decades will be fully exposed and there will be hell to pay in a time of reckoning. Payment will be taken and we will enter a new age that shares much more with the age of the founding than anything we have ever seen in our lifetimes. Your federal government will have defined duties and it will do them well. Your states have duties and they will have to do them better than most currently do. And your cities and towns will be closest to where the power lies, closest to you, and they will prosper like never before. They will be the focus in new America, not Washington, not Congress, not your state capitol. not the places that have stolen from you in the past. Good night.

I did sleep well.

I cannot keep from repeating this statement from the
Declaration Of Independence.

“He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out of their substances.

And this also.
“For taking away our charters, abolishing our most valuable laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our governments”

Only their techniques have changed, but yes, it is the same situation as 1776 in many respects.
