I voted. I chose the, “the media coverage is sending me searching for my very own shot of potent demarol.” block.

parsy, who wonders what makes a person go apesh*t over something like the death of MJ

if there had been 24hr news networks back in the day, they would have done the same thing with elvis or john lennon. mj was the same kind of world wide superstar/pop icon. i actually owned the thriller album (back when vinyl records still could be found in record stores). i believe the man had an enormous amount of talent, but his strangeness turned me off completely and i think his was just a sad, pathetic shadow of a life for the last 15 yrs or so. i think the media coverage has been way too hysterical and over the top.

I voted.

Look, I grew up listening to the Jackson Five, and then MJ on his own, and while I liked his songs, and thought he had a wild imagination, enough is enough already.

Sorry he’s dead, but it looks like another case of “death by stupidity”.

Prayers for his family.

I voted for “Over the Top.” The man is dead. He was troubled. He was taken advantage of by those around him. He was a sad and lonely individual who was looking for love. Shame on everyone for exploiting once again this troubled soul who was haunted by his own demons ... they are exploiting him yet again as he lie dead somewhere. God forgive them.

Are they going to cover the 40th anniversary of the real moonwalkers with as much enthusiasm?

Disgusting, though sadly, that wasn’t one of the choices, so I just chose “over the top”.
