I don’t believe this....I never thought the stimulus would get through...and it did.
“If they want to keep their jobs they better damn well stop this Marxist Madness....”
Or at least die trying...
They need a super majority, 60 votes to pass this legislation. It was voted on earlier they cannot use reconcilliation, to get this through. If all repubs vote this way, then all dems need to vote the other way.
I do not think the blue dogs in the Mid-west want to go home, and tell their constituents they didn’t stand up for their rights.
Knee cap & trade is about poor Heartlanders paying more for electicity to the utilities who then launder that money thru Goldman Sachs via “carbon credits.” Joe Bob done gets broker while the carbon credits broker builds a 20,000 square foot mansion in which to host a Democratic Party fundraiser in.
Exactly. They want to lull us into complacency. Can’t have their constituents making irate phone calls to them when there are so many beltway cocktail parties to attend and retirement nests to feather.
I heard the same predictions crap and trade wouldn’t pass the house - but it did.
Damn right!
I pray this is correct.
But stranger things have happened.
I'm sure Harry and Nancy will figure out a way for any swing-vote Senators to return home with their heads held high with billions in ear marks.
I want somebody to show us just where all these carbon credit trees are planted (and will they be harvested 35 yrs from now?)and on whose land?
You’re right...The stimulus bill....supposedly the key to job growth has failed shamelessly...It was one of those “we gotta do something”....Same idea...different day
I am hopeful the GOP will hold the line but they have caved before.
Just because an end user is in Massachusetts and thinks he's tied in to Hydro-Quebec and "immune" doesn't mean a thing. Remember, as the rates rise in the Midwest they'll be importing that Hydro-Quebec power over the same grid, and that will drive up Massachusetts rates. After all, Canadians aren't that stupid ~ they know that if there's higher demand, they can charge a higher price (and get away with it too because they are the funny little foreign guys in the big picture, and they own all the hydro, all the oil, all the nukes, and anything else they need).
I don't think Teddy Kennedy and that crowd quite understand the linkage, but there it is.
Exactly. Obama wants to steal from us and give to him pals. This Cap & Tax already has direct deposit into the “poor’s” bank accounts. Obama’s banks will love this because it is transaction fees.
[[I dont believe this....I never thought the stimulus would get through...and it did.]]
Exactly! It’s goign to go through- they said it would never even get through hte first time- said there was no way it owuld- and lo and behold- Obamessiah got what he wanted with last minute shady promisses to the holdouts- the fella in Florida is getting millions for ‘projects’ for his vote change- as well as others who were promissed crap for hteir vote-
This Obomination of a bill WILL go through because we hte people are NOT serious enough about stopping the Democrats from doign whatever they want! The Repubs can squak and Squeel all they like, and try to put a positive spin on the situation, but it’s a load of crap- This administration IS goign to ruin this coutnry, this bill WILL go through, and we will be powerless to stop it- JUST as we’re powerless to stop the SCAM called ‘man-caused’ global warming- the science PROVES we are not responsible, but that has NOT stopped those in power from passing mandates to ‘fix the problem’ that doesn’t exist!
This ia a CORRUPT administration, they know they only have a short time to fleece America, and they ARE goign to get as much money as quickly as they can before America starts to wake up from the illusion of ‘change’
And it will be overlooked that Al Gore’s firm is knee deep in carbon credit brokering.
To 99% of the democRAT party, that's just too tempting to pass up.
