In a lousy week, Mark Sanford had one stroke of luck: Michael Jackson chose the day after the governor's news conference to moonwalk into eternity, and thus gave the media's pop therapists a more rewarding subject to feast on or at any rate one of the few stories whose salient points are weirder than Sanford's. Not that the governor didn't do his best to keep his end up on the pop culture allusions: "I've spent the last five days crying in Argentina," he revealed, in presumably unconscious hommage to Evita.

Wasn’t Jackson planning to have himself frozen. I seem to recall that years ago.
Don’t understand the hoopla over Jackson. Whitney Houston (similar situation), the Beach Boys, and Petula Clark had far more talent. Farah Fawcett was a much better looking woman than Jackson and had far more character.
He is going to be plasticized and be put with bubbles the chimp. At least that is what was agreed upon according to someone.
As tinfoily as it sounds, I think Jackson may have been murdered or assisted suicide because the tour was going to be a disaster. The doctor on the scene was hired by the promoter.
At the very least, how can a cardiologist NOT KNOW that you don’t do CPR on a bed?
Can you imagine if that came out at the end of a presidential campaign?
I have been trying to figure out why dig holes? Is it like some grown up version of playing in the sand? It just seems odd. And destructive.
I’ve been wondering if Sanford could have learned to operate an excavator while he was in the service. It’s a very weird hobby, and the fact that a child fell into one of his holes, makes it a dangerous, weird hobby.
Perhaps he was building a subway to Argentina? OMG when this gets more ‘in depth’ coverage.......watch out Pubbies!! LOL!!!
It would be fun to have my own excavator!
But would you just dig holes for no reason?
I like frog ponds!
I just heard that Sanford is in the Air Force Reserves. He could be court martialed for this. I wonder if anything will come out of this.
