Some may recall the famous All in the Family episode about socks and shoes. There were good reasons for both (sock-sock, shoe-shoe vs. sock-shoe, sock-shoe)

Anyone that doesn’t put them on sock-sock, shoe-shoe is a meathead.

I favor putting the socks on before the shoes, myself.

Nah, it's shoe-shoe, sock-sock.

Now the really important question - right or left first? ;-0

What about those of us that shove our socks inside our shoes and then squeeze our feet in?

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title, wondering if anybody else was old enough to remember that - was so funny I memorized it, including trying to do it in the right accents lol.

No, no, no, no, NO! It’s lotion-sock, lotion, sock, shoe-shoe. Good grief! Who puts on a sock w/o lotion on the split-prone calluses??????

You guys don’t understand (STUPID) Polls.

You never answer the Poll as normal conversation.

They asked a (STUPID) Question and they deserve a (STUPID)answer.

Never tell the truth when you answer a (STUPID) Poll. Look at the possible answers and find the (Dumbest) answer and that is what you answer.

Hell - It is what they deserve.

OK.

1. Take about 4 aspirin.
2. Wait about an hour, then shuffle over and get a pair of socks out of the drawer, and the pair of shoes you want to wear out of the closet.
3. Find a comfortable, low chair, with a footstool or hassock close.
4. Rest a bit, then lunge down and grab a foot and pull it up and rest it on top of the hassock. Reach down and work the sock onto the foot you can reach.
5. While it is up there, reach down and grab the shoe that fits that foot and work it over the sock you just installed.
6. After a short breather, push the shod foot to the floor, and as soon as you feel able, try to reach the other foot and pull it up and repeat steps 4 and 5 above for the other foot.
7. If after step 6 you find you have a second shoe that does not match the first one, you may want to drop to the floor, take a nap, and forget about doing whatever it was that made you decide to get dressed today in the first place.
