First They Came for Cheerios

Last week, there was a fairly obscure story that was treated mostly with amusement.

President Obama isn't just rewriting rules regulating the environment and the financial markets -- he is also going after the food industry.

Target and example No. 1: Cheerios.

"Based on claims made on your product's label," the FDA said in a letter to manufacturer General Mills, "we have determined (Cheerios) is promoted for conditions that cause it to be a drug because the product is intended for use in the prevention, mitigation and treatment of disease."

If the government's enforcement action against Cheerios were to hold up, the cereal would be pulled from grocery shelves and consumers would need a prescription to buy a box of those little oats

Never fear. We’ll soon have a Czar of Mental Health to take care of that problem.

It looks like General Mills is going to have to pay up or face a hostile government takeover.

Oat Bran - a faded trend that is now a Trojan Horse. This is just a shakedown - General Mills will just pull the “reduce cholesterol” claim on the box.

The Leftists have an agenda, and apparently part of that agenda is to see what they can throw on the table that will be consumed whether it seems palatable or not. Some call it floating ideas to see if they catch on, but I call it fishing for bait.

These life forms, the Dems, Libs, Socialists, call ‘em what you will are a dangerous lot of cunning psychopaths.

There should be safeguards in place to prevent the mentally incapacitated, or mentally unstable from gaining Public office.

I think the time is rapidly approaching that most Americans will just ignore Washington altogether. It's getting to the point that we ignore 'em or hang 'em. Maybe a little tar and feathers will work. What do ya think?

Every time I hear Glenn Beck talk about his SleepNumber bed, he says they claim the bed will alleviate back pain, it actually improves not only the condition of one's back but the quality of sleep. Sounds as though it is conducive to improved health -- how come this bed is not classified as a drug, eh??

Kept my mouth shut, since Lucky Charms makes a big deal about using a leprechaun to promote the four-leaf clover; it ain't a shamrock!!!

Though I ought to be more of a crusader, else indeed, there will be no one left when they come for Uncle O'Grimacey.
