I would hesitate to call myself a republican, although I am (unfortunately) generally forced to vote that way.
I am under the impression that more conservatives (no, make that more people) are starting to catch on, and if the republicans don't catch up, they WILL be left behind.
With 40% of the population calling themselves conservative, I don't think there will be much tolerance for republicans continuing the dem-lite agenda.
Try as they might, the media can no longer convince voters that “conservative” is a dirty word.
