CBS airbrushes Letterman's Willow Palin rape joke out of transcript
Interesting -- the censors at CBS airbrushed Letterman's rape joke out of the transcript it sent to the media:
The remark was aired live, but CBS removed it from the transcript it makes available to media, including the New York Times, which publishes Lettermans opening monologue on its blog site.

they can airbrush all they want.
He said what he said and he meant it.
He said what he said about an young 14 year old girl.
He said what he said about flight attendants and the Governor of Alaska.
They can airbrush all they want. The information is out there and he cannot deny it.
He is a bitter little man evidently and his nasty remarks and hatred this time toward someone much less a 14 year old girl is going to hurt him badly. I hope it does.
He is a man void of class and common decency.

Speaking of airbrushing, in today’s Parade, in the newspaper, they covered Obama’s normally blue lips with red. It looks like lipstick.

"The transcript we received omitted the joke referred to in the comments below, presumably for reasons of taste. Had the transcript included the joke, we would not have run it. Monologue jokes are routinely edited for taste and brevity." So we only have the NYT saying they didn't receive this? And if they had, they would have suppressed it? Do they not have access to the internet or have no one on their staff that actually watches Letterman to see what was said? And do they think this type of sexism was not worth reporting? What about Palin and the "slutty flight attendant"? Was that OK? You know what Letterman reminds me of? The Taliban. If a woman arouses lust in a man, it's her fault, she's a slut, even if she covers every part of her body, but her heals click too loudly or her voice is too loud, it's her fault.

Bumping your #26. Thanks for the links to Letterman sponsors. I already emailed CBS. I’ll do the sponsors too. Stephy made me mad this morning on This Week, when he commented that this whole incident is not really causing a very big fuss.

This is actually worthwhile, because it exposes CBS as having no credibility at all. As was stated about Nixon, and many times after; it is not the initial action as much as it is the coverup.

they they’ll just offloaded it on other sources outside the US.

I hope there’s always a work-around but there’s always monitoring what you watch and which web sites you visit. Remember Big Barry is watching.
