CBS is not governed by a political process, it is instead governed by a business process which is dictated by profit.
CBS is in the marketplace. We consumers define what the market will bear. That includes the behavior of its employees and the quality of its product.
I take your point if you mean I should have put it into consumer terms instead of political but, since this is also a political issue, that seemed most appropriate at the time I was writing.
Also keep in mind that many double-standard media decisions these days have a distinctly political agenda so the boundaries between politics and profit making are very blurred. That's how fascism works and we are at the onset of fascism in the media world right now IMO.
The double-standard media companies are owned privately but strongly influenced by the desires of the govt. It's voluntary now, later maybe not so much if they can shut down Free Repubic, talk radio, etc.
