Now isn't this fascinating. James von Brunn, the white-supremacist suspect in today's Holocaust Memorial Museum shooting in which the guard who was shot has now tragically died, describes the relevance of evolution to his sick thinking. He's obsessed with "genetics." He writes in his manifesto (emphasis added):
Approval of inter-racial breeding is predicated on idiotic Christian dogma that God's children must love their enemies (a concept JEWS totally reject); and on LIBERAL/MARXIST/JEW propaganda that all men/races are created equal. This wacko despises Christianity, too, though not quite as much as he does Judaism. Like Hitler in Mein Kampf, he draws lessons from his interpretation of Darwinism. He's very big on dangers to the Aryan "gene pool." The subtitle of his book promies: "A New Hard-Hitting Exposé Of The JEW CONSPIRACY To Destroy The White Gene-Pool."

Our Founding Fathers were Aryans, men of good breeding who understood, empirically, the great differences existing between strains of horses; strains of live-stock; races of men; and between individuals: knowledge confirmed today by the natural sciences of Genetics, Eugenics, and Anthropology. No, he doesn't cite Darwin by name in the part of his book that's readable online -- the first 6 of 12 chapters. But do you get the general drift? And you want to tell me that ideas don't have consequences?

This is also a theme of Odinist occult religions where they believed a pantheon of gods created different categories of man.. Odinism is popular among WNs.
His kind of thought doesn’t reflect in the least modern evolutionary science which, through gene study, sees very little differences in races of people other than simple things like melatonin content etc.. genetic differences not much different than one would see in various individuals.
Trying to blame evolution puts someone in the same paragraph as those who blame Christianity.

I am almost afraid to know how common this type of thinkin g was in 1900s Americia. I do remember the NAZIs protesting that they got the Eugenics ideas from the US.

Darwin, from his writings above EXPLICITLY believes races are the result of Natural Selection acting on the human gene pool.
..and some religions/cults believe that races are a direct result of God blessing certain people and cursing others...
The attempt to bash evolutionary science is about a silly as bashing chemistry because he used a gun which uses a chemical reaction to fire the bullet. The guy was a wack job, plain and simple, and wack jobs have a way of perverting pretty much anything, twisting it to their own warped since of reality.

And what is your explanation for the genetic differences between human populations?
Science itself is a-political and a-moral, it is what people do with it that is good or bad. I am sure folks don’t want to get into a pissing contest comparing what people have done w/ science versus, say, various religions.
It is like trying to blame math for vonBrunn because he may have calculated the trajectory of a bullet using calculus or blaming Newton for Hitler because Hitler used Netwtonian physics to guide bombers to London.
These kind of games, imho, are driving people away from God because some people try to paint him as an antiquated myth instead of seeing Him in all His creation, including the processes he created (like evolution, physics, etc)
Odinites believed the exact same thing, breeding the best families together to create stronger offspring.. and their belief in a pantheon of gods is far older than evolutionary thought and is far more prevalent in WN movements.
Let's see. Dark-skinned people live in low latitudes where their skin needs protection from the sun. Light-skinned people live in high latitudes where they have to be able to absorb enough Vitamin D in winter to not get sick. Many people from India are dark-skinned, but are ethnically Caucasian. Natives in the Amazon are sometimes almost as dark-skinned as people from Equatorial Africa or from India, but not quite - they have only lived in the tropics for 10-20,000 years - but they are still much darker than natives from further north.
In other words, average skin tone of a regional population is changing in response to environmental factors. Nothing more complicted than that. But it is natural selection.

I'm sure you can find passages in the Old Testament that only those who believe in God will survive or prosper. And other religions will have similar passages as well.
