I videotaped Letterpervs show last night and zipped through it this morning to see who the advertisers were, and here they are. Note, this is not a complete list, I missed the first 10 to 15 minutes of the lie/hate fest.

I won't be able to look up the contact info like I did yesterday until later this afternoon. If someone can do it, I am sure everyone will appreciate it
I’d say an concerted effort to get Mcd’s to drop their advertising - considering their target market is children - would be a good start. A couple thousand (maybe million) letters to their corporate office and perhaps they will rethink their advertising dollars on Letterman.
You're the joke, Dave. Imus did not get away with this excuse and neither should you.
Thanks curth.
Everyone should be aware that several advertisers bring out the line that they are only “indirectly” supporting Letterman (placed there by CBS).
Don’t fall for the BS deflection. They should demand to be dissociated from Letterman. CBS needs to get the message from the sponsors that Letterperv is toxic.
Since when is statutory rape a joke?
Jokes are supposed to be funny.
Never crudely joke about a woman that can kill a moose, field dress it and haul it’s still warm carcass back to her family in an Alaskan snow storm.
She’ll skin you alive at the first possibility.
I’ll pay to watch that.

I don’t know much about how these ads are placed...but, if you watch CBS on cable tv, isn’t it possible that the local cable company positioned the ad...making it hard for a company to know if their ad played during Letterman. This would be completely outside of a company placing an ad with CBS.
I just want to make sure the right people are getting boycotted.
You are misinformed. Local cable systems do NOT place local ad insertions on network shows like Letterman. The ads come from the network or their local affiliate.
not sure she'll have the patience for that in this case. (Dave, it's just a joke)
here is my reply to every one of them:
Dear Sirs/Mdms.
I am writing in regard to your sponsorship of David Lettermans show, and any lack of response from your company concerning his shameful comments on Governor Palin and her daughters.
As a Conservative Republican I am getting tired of 99% of all TV shows calling me an evil person and acting like it is OK to insult me. I take your sponsorship as tacit approval of this.
So I am voting with my wallet.
I will not purchase your products, and I will be telling other co-workers why. We have many other choices.
I hope I see some response or condemnation of this constant conservative-bashing on shows you sponsor.
sincerely
I had no idea he was still on TV.
Somebody get Listerine, Kelloggs & Toyota, I’ll get the rest.
the only one that may post a problem for me is DirecTV.
The cable company here is far worse.
Ok...which is why I started out saying I don’t know much about how the ads work....
But, I remember last year a dispute between the local cable carrier and CBS affiliate. The affiliate (WIBW) wanted Cox cable to pay a small fee (around a dollar per subscriber) to carry CBS. The logic was that CBS was only allowing cable to rebroadcast CBS, as a convienence, so customers could get CBS without an antenna...
However, most programs had a certain portion of the commercial space allotted for local ads. Cable was selling the local ad space, without compensating WIBW. Thus, if you switch from cable to over the air signal during a commercial break, you sometimes see identical ads, but other times see different ones.
The same thing happens when I look at cable CBS from Topeka, vs the Kansas City feed...sometimes identical commercials, sometimes different (sometimes one is blacked out).
I just don’t want to boycott Olive Garden, for example, if their commercial ran in one market, because some baseball game had run short and they couldn’t get all the commercials in...and a local program manager placed it on Letterman to get it played before midnight.
Bump.
Got Kelloggs, working on the other two. Want to bump this so I can find it tonight at home also.
I have Directv too. But here is one way to handle it:
Have been trying to decide whether to cancel premium movie channels or not - their sponsorship of Letterman will be the tie breaker.
