The Huffington Post actually has a poll and a slideshow up about Governor Palin's toenails. No, I'm not kidding, and it's already got hundreds of poisonous comments.
This reminds me of the numerous wire photos of the Governor's feet and lower legs during the 2008 campaign, and the interest seems to be continuing. For instance, Ben Smith's Politico piece from last Saturday's Auburn visit included this quote:
Her four-car motorcade, including two black SUVs provided by the New York State Police, then headed to Seneca Falls, where Palin, bright red toenails visible in open shoes, trooped through a museum that focuses on the 19th-century origins of the American women’s movement in Upstate New York.
Why is the liberal media so interested in the Governor's feet? Are they podophiles?
By the way, the author at the HuffPo, Senior Style Editor Anya Strzemien, is the same person who also posited that the Governor's lipliner is tattooed on -- another HuffPo piece that generated hundreds of comments.
But remember that conservatives are the sexist ones!
It is evident the desperation to keep this Palin bashing up. They are still grasping for everything, but I think the media propaganda machine for 0bama is going to have it hit them back hard enough when the ‘I told ya so’s’ keep coming.
They're comin' - and Sarah's the one to tell 'em so.

Is it true?
It's an OPINION. Their opinion of her fashion sense is no more or less valid than yours. It's neither true nor false.
Lying/propaganda is evil.
Lying *is* evil, but since the MSM is giving their OPINION, they're not lying. Propaganda, on the other hand, although it carries with it a connotation of negativity, is actually a neutral work. Propaganda is not, by definition, evil.
Making snide remarks about someone's taste in clothes makes one look like a school girl trying to "get" her rival. It's petty. If we object to it when the MSM/DU/HuffPo does it to Gov. Palin and yet then engage in it ourselves, we are hypocrites.
I have to disagree about the threads, though. With people making comments about her large posterior or that she looks like Aunt Ester, or whatever, it's making fun of her.
I disagree that Mrs. Obama's fashion enters into the battle of perception for anyone but those who make their decisions based solely/mostly on beauty. With people so shallow we have no chance of winning them to our side.
I've said it before and I'll put on my asbestos suit to say it again: if there are that many people -- and I'm assuming the majority are women -- who care so much what the first lady is wearing that it will effect their opinion on political issues then IMO the 19th Amendment needs to be repealed.
There is a difference: Sarah’s toenails and lipline look very good on her, and lady O looks like she’s wearing my tablecloth in the guest Dining Room.
*Is* there a difference? You like Gov. Palin’s toenails and lipliner, but don’t like Mrs. Obama’s clothing. That’s your opinion. That’s cool. Does that mean it’s ok to mock Mrs. Obama? If so, then it’s OK for the liberals to mock Gov. Palin.
Obviously posters here are free to do what they like, but to me it seems we’re lowering ourselves to their level.
You’ve got to be kidding. If Sarah was wearing the same things that her highness is wearing the media would be making fun of her. It’s their opinion based on who she is, not what she is wearing.
I love it when lefties concentrate on teh shiny.
Also, I could care less if liberals make fun of Sarah. It’s the Media, who are fawing all over her highness, and at the same time, making snide comments about Sarah that angers me.
Michele Obama is a First Lady. She's only where she is, and has always been, because of who she married.
Sarah Palin is an elected Governor. She got everything she has by virtue of having earned it.
I can mock the one who skipped by with unearned celebrity if I want to, it's not the same as mocking Sarah Palin.
I like the shoes. Nice pedicure, too.
There is another perspective on the differences between Mrs. Obama and Gov. Palin. Although Mrs. Obama represents our country when in public, she's a private citizen, not an elected official. Gov. Palin, however, being a politician perhaps should be under more scrutiny as she has a position of power and may, in fact, seek the highest office in our land.
Either way, they're both living in the spotlight.
