The Huffington Post actually has a poll and a slideshow up about Governor Palin's toenails. No, I'm not kidding, and it's already got hundreds of poisonous comments.
This reminds me of the numerous wire photos of the Governor's feet and lower legs during the 2008 campaign, and the interest seems to be continuing. For instance, Ben Smith's Politico piece from last Saturday's Auburn visit included this quote:
Her four-car motorcade, including two black SUVs provided by the New York State Police, then headed to Seneca Falls, where Palin, bright red toenails visible in open shoes, trooped through a museum that focuses on the 19th-century origins of the American womens movement in Upstate New York.
Why is the liberal media so interested in the Governor's feet? Are they podophiles?
By the way, the author at the HuffPo, Senior Style Editor Anya Strzemien, is the same person who also posited that the Governor's lipliner is tattooed on -- another HuffPo piece that generated hundreds of comments.
But remember that conservatives are the sexist ones!
Sarah Palin is feminine and well composed. This wouldn't drive the Leftist hordes so mad if she also weren't beautiful. Then on top of all this she had the unmitigated gall to bear a special needs baby.
Milquetoast liberal males and butch liberal females are simply envious of Sarah Palin. And to be honest, some on the Right are also, though a very small number.
It’s not a question of rights. It’s a question of lowering oneself to their level.
The fact that she can change shoes in that skirt with the flashbulbs popping shows that she is more than capable of running the White House.
Good point! I’d like to see Joe Biden try it!
NO! It’s pointing out their propaganda and correcting the ‘wrongs’ with truth. You obviously see speaking the truth as lowering yourself - I don’t. I don’t roll over at the face of evil - I stand up to it.
Best keep Ma Palin away from the toe sucker Dick Morris......
You’re right - she just does what needs to be done and screw the media. She is self assured - and not like McLame who NEEDS to be liked, thus a media pawn.
This is so sick. While at QVC, whenever we did shows called “Feet Treats” (which featured toe rings and foot massagers, etc.) we would have these people glued to the program and posting screen grabs and video clips of Hosts feet. There’s a whole foot fetish community out there...and I mean “out there!”
The media touts her as a queen of fashion. That’s evil? Isn’t that a question of taste no matter how much we may disagree? Who appointed us the fashion police?
So we fight this “evil” difference in opinion by....what? Multiple threads with snide comments about her large posterior and bad taste in belts?
Is that really a platform on which we conservatives want to stand?
According to the DBM...
Bare arms (libtard) = GOOD
Bare toes (Conservative) = BAD
Is there a connection here somewhere?

Parisians cheered the Obamas, travelling in a 30-vehicle motorcade, as police sealed off all the streets through which they moved. Mrs Obama and her daughters ended by shopping on the Left Bank and Champs Élysées and taking a trip to the Louvre.
Some of these people are sick. I am serious. when I read the KOS, HuffPo or DU. it seems like a bunch of demonic spirits socializing.
I pray for the safety Sarah and her family.
I worry one of these marxist fruitcakes is going to go Lee Harvey Oswald on us...
If your reaction to such breathtakingly slobbering propaganda is mere detachment then that is a perfectly tenable position.
But don't stop others from deriding the media's idolatry. There is no mere difference in taste here. We are engaged in a primary battle on the plane of perception, and Michelle's parade of grotesqueries is a skirmish of that battle. We are being told that right is wrong, up is down and - in this case - ugly equals beautiful by our betters, and we don't care for it!
Well said!
Harrumph harrumph...
When we laugh about Michelle and her “fashion sense” we are not so much laughing at her but at the MSM that has set her up on the high fashion throne. I feel kind of sad that she looks so bad while the cameras a snapping pictures of her and no one has told her to lose the belts. If I was her friend I would say “Michelle, lose the belts!”
I'm with Rush on this one. I love the women's movement - especially when they are right in front of me.
