Shunned By Media, Levin Book Set To Sell One Million Copies

While the state-controlled media continues to shun him, syndicated radio talk host Mark Levin's Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto is on track to sell a stunning one million copies, if it hasn't already done so. More than that number have now been printed by Simon and Schuster, its publisher.

And late today, it was revealed that the book will appear as number one on the New York Times Bestseller List for the ninth time in the past ten weeks. . . . To get a sense of what it all means, particularly since this is the most successful conservative book release in many years, your Radio Equalizer checked in with Levin himself. From the interview:

state-controlled media

I've really taken a liking to this descriptor for the media that I'm hearing more frequently now. I never thought "mainstream media" described it properly since there's nothing "mainstream" about leftism.

Can’t stress it enough..it’s an eye-opener.

I highly recommend buying this book.
It may be the last conservative book
to be printed if the socialist get their way.

We’re being sold out fast....IMO

Strange. If my job was threatened by the failure of journalism as an industry, and something came along that was big news, like a book that made a big splash for week after week, I might consider taking a major risk - doing my job. If I was a journalist, I might put self-preservation above ideology and actually report the news, just a few times to avoid alienating those few remaining conservatives. The book is #1 on the NYT list; it’s not like they can keep it a secret - we already know. They might as well report it as honestly as they would report a corresponding bestselling lib book (”Heather has Two Mommies” or something equally thoughtful).

Lib reporters seriously believe the reason for declining circulation is that their corporate sponsors and editors are too conservative and don't let them publish the liberal "truth." They really believe they're not liberal enough.

The way they see it, publishing a review of Liberty and Tyranny, even if it's scathing, would only scare readers away. Conservatism is like kryptonite to them. Getting anywhere near it could result in violent reactions, coma, even death.

I'm always surprised by how stupid liberals are. Even after hundreds of similar explanations, I still expect the next liberal to make sensible decisions. I guess I'm a slow learner when it comes to understanding them.

Mark’s book should be required reading in every high school and college/university in America. In fact, it should be a text book.

I'm confused. Rush says interchangeably “State Run Media” and “State Controlled Media”.

Is it SRM or SCM? I need an official ruling here.

SRM is the airwaves and TV, SCM is the print media.
