Democrats wait for tragedy to enact weapon legislation

America’s 1st Freedom June 2009 Magazine has called the Democrats onto the carpet.

And it isn’t pretty.

Marshall Lewin in an article titled:”Showing their True Colors”, lays it all on the line. In his article he describes a ruthless calculation, Democrat leaders in the White House and in Congress are waiting for people to die. That’s right. They are waiting until there is some national level tragedy, the loss of life involving firearms, to introduce and then pass legislation banning guns.

Very few NRA members subscribe to the magazine, “American’s First Freedom”. My son gets the magazine and it clearly shows the NRA in fights the other magazines or the leftist media don’t show.

Gun range protection.
Employee CCW in cars protection.
Hunter’s rights.
CCW laws on the state and local.
Five lawsuits because of Heller.
Katrina victim lawsuits.
Eddie Eagle and the lawsuits to keep it in schools.
National park CCW law.
The NRA has a average of sixty cases a year in legal assistance for members.

And lazy nonmembers will still ask what the NRA has done lately.

Four million NRA members out of 76 million gunowners.

Gunowners are too busy watching “American Idol” and when they do wake up it will be too late and they will ask “How come the NRA didn’t do anything”. And the NRA will ask how come you didn’t join when it could have been easy.

Spare me the stuff on katrina...it was local cops who took peoples guns....not the NG....

You are partailly correct...And the NG did not participate in the gun confiscation operations in the aftermath of Katrina...The local NO cops were in the background for most of that as well...

They came in with outside jurisdictions to do most of the gun grab...CHiPs, and other organizations to do the visible dirty work...

Morons. Banning guns is NOT going to stop people from dying in a *national tragedy*.

Look at how many shootings have happened in gun free zones to begin with. Banning guns certainly didn't stop anyone who wanted to shoot up a mall, or a school.

Those who would commit such crimes will get the guns anyway and don't care about gun bans, except to be glad that they can go in and not risk getting stopped because they know that everyone else is unarmed.

That's why they shoot up gun free zones, where guns are banned.

What on earth does a microscopic percentage of people committing an extraordinarily rare crime have anything whatever to do with the criminalization and seizure of the guns of sixty million law abiding citizens? The very scale of this fraud is utterly insane.

That sure puts it in perspective.

America is/was the greatest country in human history—but it isn’t MY country.

Oh? So what is your country?

For socialism/communism/slavery, nothing. Best of luck to everyone else—I’m lookin’ out for mine at that point. That’s all I’ll have time for.

Just the kind of people we need to make America great. do I need the /s tag?

If you're still on American soil, leave, we don't like traitors. And don't let the door hit you....

If you're not, why are you on a conservative, pro-America forum like FR? Why don't you go back to DU where you belong?

That sounds familiar.

It's very typical of cowards to project their cowardice onto others.

Don't worry, we're plenty used to it. Non-cowards deal with this phenomenon all their lives.

“I wonder if those who thought 9/11 was an inside job would feel the same about any such incident that led to the banning of firearms.”

Gah...I litterally spent YEARS chasing these assholes around the internet having this very same argument.....they were saying the same exact things about Bush that many now say about Obama...the same very same things...

There will be a “flase flag event” generated to create domestic crisis...

Elections will be suspended...

He’s going to declare himself president for life...

Martial law will be declared...

The American people will be declared terrorists..

The army will come disarm you and put you in camps...

*bangs head on keyboard*

bqliu3hkjbre2uyf292h.bfe;uyw;oe2b2.,beq!!!!!!!

*ouch*

Funny...they just missed a prime opportunity to do that same thing with the swine flu....

Wow...didnt happen...

I would remind you that McVeigh wasnt born from talk radio...he was born from the conspiracy industry.

He bombed a day care center without remorse.

There is a difference now, though. Our country is being run by a leftist president and a statist Congress full of Democrats pushing through as much society-damaging crap as they can before they get voted out. They remember 1994 and are hell-bent on getting their pet socialist wet dreams passed.

It's a different climate now. A dangerously different climate.

This reply is to both Boucheau and Crim. Your discussion is one I have with myself almost every day. Your argument is an example of idealism meeting reality. You know, I am the most law-abiding woman there is. I’ll return two cents extra change if it’s inadvertently given to me. However, I am changing my thinking. To paraphrase a well-known “woman,” for the first time in my adult life I’m willing to break the law and count on not being found out. Yes, I’d carry my S&W pistol into a park even if against the law. Lots of dead women have been found in those parks. Yes, I’d lie to the police if the purpose is gun confiscation.

Boucheau, I think that your very argument shows how America has gotten to this sorry position. We’re sucker punched every single day, but other than trying to address things lawfully, our only recourse is to take up arms against our government. Like you, I don’t see us doing that. Perhaps it’s because the enemy is WITHIN and is our own citizenry. Foreign invaders would be easier to defeat. We’ve already passed so many “tipping points” that there aren’t many left. We’re frogs and the boiling water has almost killed us.

As a student, I was often puzzled by the inaction of Nazi Germany’s Christians and good citizens. I thought that they were some sort of aberration and that type of thing could NEVER happen again. Well, now I see EXACTLY how it happened.

We also didnt have the heller ruling or even the liberal as hell 9th circuit rulling afirming heller...

You dont think they are running polls weekly on issues such as this?

Support for gun control is at an all time low....even after many new tragedies...

I was just at my local gun shop the other day to pick up a new grip....guns are flying off the shelves....even at huge price increases....

Congressional dems arent going anywhere near the issue...Obama and holder be damned...

They are craven little cowards who only care about re-election...and they havent forgotten 94’

The next round of elections is a mere 18 months away...

They didnt even have the will to vote down the carry of concealed weapons in national parks when their entire base was screaming and writing letters and blog articles...

They arent going to ban shit.

They have allready lost several rounds...such as banning the re-sale of brass...

having the desire...and having the will and means to enforce that desire are two different things...
