Postponing his own lucrative summer work on the North Slope oil fields, Todd does the bulk of the childcare for now, while Bristol also hits the gym and tanning. "My dad lets me go tanning quite a bit."

Sorry, Lou. It wasn’t directed at you, or the other rational Freeps.
Hypocrite.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
John 8:7 (King James Version)
Wish I had a dime for everyone who starts that chapter but never finishes it. You really should read ALL of John, without the easy-believism filter on. It might be good for you.
They're hoping to peel off 10's of Palin supporters to Mitt so he'll draw 100 people at his next event instead of the 50 he drew in New Jersey yesterday at his "big" rally to endorse Chris Christie for governor...LOL.
You know the Romneyites are losing when they trot out the family stuff. Posting an article by the PDS-infected Debbie Schlussel is taking desperation to the next level.
if you are ever approached by a news reporter for comment, please, I bet of you, Job 13:5. For the good of the movement.
Well, dad could tell her to take a vitamin d supplement and skip the roasting in a tanning bed.
Thanks for betting on me.
if memory serves, the remainder of that chapter is a dialogue between Jesus and the Pharisees (the irony is almost too much to take), in which he rebuts their false charges against him.
He does dismiss the woman with an admonition to sin no more. I don’t recall him adding that whether or not she does, farmer18th shall have the Lord’s blessing to gossip about her on the internet, assume she continues in sin because of what he reads 2nd hand from People Magazine, and demand contrition from her mother for her acts. Then again, I admit I’m not up to speed on these newer translations.
If I were betting on a sophomoric response, I would have won big money.
OK, now we know that your problem is with fornicators. It is true, having sex outside of marriage is a sin. Care to name any Presidents that you have evidence were NOT fornicators.
Actually, Bristol has expressed publicly that she regrets having sex out of wedlock and that while she doesn't regret giving birth to her perfect infant son, she has stated she wished she had waited and that she could have had the same baby later as a married adult.
She now advocates publicly for abstinence and tells girls to look at her life as an object lesson in what not to do and why sex before marriage is a bad idea.
I don't fault Sarah for not publicly reprimanding her daughter, as I recall the bible instructs us to remonstrate with our brothers in private. The fact is Bristol has finished high school and graduated, is not on public assistance and uses family to care for her infant.
Your demands that she get a husband are stupid and unrealistic. Bristol has blown God's Best Plan, so will now have to settle for 2nd. She knows this, everyone but you knows this. There is no reconciliation with the father of this baby while is still immaturely chasing fame and fortune by pimping his child and the mother of his child out to the presses.
Rushing into another relationship to get a daddy would just compound the initial error. Step parenting and blending families is not for the faint of heart. She needs to grow up some more and focus on her son and her education before getting back into the marriage market.
You’re describing the exact opposite of what western civilization has advocated for the last 2,000 years. (Single motherhood 3.5% in 1960, 40% in 2009). You don’t get to take the slow, steady, lifestyle-enhancement pace after you’ve brought a child into the world. The honorable thing to do is to marry the father of the child. Levi, according to you, is pimping the baby, but what are Sarah and Bristol doing? Bristol was so completely unschooled on family values that she waffled on abstinence in a way that makes me think neither of the Palin parents were really raising this poor kid.
You want to worship Sarah Palin, go ahead. I’d rather be her friend and tell her—and other conservatives—where they are absolutely inconsistent.
Frankly I am beginning to become of the opinion that your problem with the Palins is that you can’t get any of them to sleep with you. Most likely Todd.
did I say I was comparing Bristol Palin to Jesus? If that was the inference you drew, allow me to help. The comparison was of you to a Pharisee. You have already admitted that you would punish her, even though you don’t know the facts of the situation. Your overt legalism in this matter puts you squarely in the sandals of the Pharisees.
The Blood of Christ is the only sin cover I have, though I suppose I could condemn Bristol Palin for a change. How is that working for you?
I did not say or imply that rebuking a brother is always wrong. Quite the contrary. I have been rebuking you all day. Pretty patiently.
You can’t marry the father if the father waffles on getting married. There is no way to force marriage these days and it would be stupid to try.
BTW, the bible instructs men to marry the woman they’ve humbled or pay the bride-price if the girl’s father refuses. It does NOT tell the woman or the family of the woman that they have to agree or allow it. Exodus 22:16-17.
You are demanding the family of the woman adhere to a stricture that is not directed at them. Levi hasn’t paid his “bride-price” of the minimum acceptable behavior that Bristol’s parents demanded of him which was to finish his HS degree and get a job demonstrating his willingness and ability to support a wife and child.
He has demonstrated no desire to have Bristol as his wife. If he did, he would have gotten his GED so that he could have kept his electrician’s apprentice job.
He’s been nothing but a lazy whiner looking for a free meal ticket. I’m not going to fault Todd and Sarah Palin for not pushing for a marriage to the selfish cad that couldn’t man up and meet his responsibilities with a strong shoulder to the wheel and a smile for his sweetie.
I'll be sure to watch the DVD. Thanks.
Sorry if I don't expand on my comments, but I don't really feel like posting on the old kook's thread who salivates at the thought of condemning a young single mother in order to get his jollies and share his feigned outrage and selected bible quotes. Bristol's life is none of the old coot's freaking business she isn't running for public office, nor has she expressed any desire to do so. However, the pitchfork's dementia is fueled by anything that is related to Bristol's sex life.
I'm trying to stay away from even reading any of his garbage, because it makes me sick.
