Though not a Islamic sympathizer by any stretch of the imagination, the article clearly states that the liquor permit was granted to a restaurant within the 300-foot buffer zone “around churches and other community institutions...” Further it states that the requirement is waived if the establishment is granted a state liquor license.

It seems to me, and based on objections by some Christian churches here in the southwest (mainly Baptist), their complaint is not unreasonable and would be the equivalent of a church making the same objection. However, I do wonder why even have a local government buffer zone if it is meaningless if the state grants a liquor permit. The problem, as I see it, is not the Muslims but the process which is obviously flawed.

The problem is how Muslims constantly use our freedoms against us. They should not be catered to in anyway.

I, too, read the article before responding, and I see, as did you, that the community has an Ordinance barring alcohol sales within 300 feet of a religious building. Nonsensical as that is, it is a town ordinance, and the one used by the mosque to challenge the license. A mainline church could do the same.

Granted all that, I still do believe that muslims will attempt to apply a "baologna slice" approach to all things that are non-muslim in order to establish sharia law here.
I still question why these people move to this country knowing full well that we will fight sharia law to our last breath.
