Bill O'Reilly and Alan Colmes are on the same page when it comes to Obama forcing Americans to drive small cars, scrapping SUVs and the larger, safer vehicles. O'Reilly, on his program, said he wants to 'stick it to the Arabs' - paraphrasing - and Obama's plan is the way to do it. Forget drilling and producing our own oil as guru O'Reilly says that is 15 years away. Even so, BOR, why not start right now? That 15 years (phoney estimate) will come sooner. So, BOR and the Leftist Colmes want Obama not only running the auto industry but forcing us to drive small, unsafe, cramped, vehicles losing more personal freedoms. Another dagger in the heart of freedom!
Yay! I can get killed in a sardine can so we can ‘stick it to the Arabs’.
BOR (boring old racist), the guy who call’s FR a racist site, yet doesn’t site proof to back up his claim, that guy is a fool.
“Yay! I can get killed in a sardine can so we can stick it to the Arabs.”
Nothing personal, but better you than me.
Local radio host said BO should set the example and get rid of the limo. Start riding around in one of those smartcars.
This is a big country. It needs big cars to drive around it. Compare us to a European country that you can drive around in 6 hours. We need a different kind of car here. Once again the evidence appears to point to the fact that we are ruled by science illiterate idiots. Convert the cars to diesel.
They said drilling is 10 years away about 10 years ago. Well, ten years is a lot closer than never.
O’Reilly can’t get his fat head into a ‘’smart car’’ much less the rest of him. This is typical liberalism....do as I say, not as I do.
O’Really gave Barack a free pass when O’Really interviewed him during the campaign. O’Really is a loud mouth who picks on those he chooses to pick on...O’Really spins more than any political pundit. He is a Con artist and a sham.
You don’t stick it to the Arabs by buying less of their oil. You stick it to the Arabs by drilling here and buying none of their oil.
As usual, Ted Baxter has his facts all wrong. Drilling here would not take 15 yrs to see results, more like 1-2 yrs. The technology has evolved tremendously. Which is why China can do slant drilling off the CA coast with nary a complaint.
We are a laughing stock.
Little does BOR realize that by sticking it to the Arabs, O is sticking it to the American people and corporations even more with this absurd crap.
What is wrong with OReilly? I hardly ever watch him; but I did some of the program tonight because of his guests. Boy did that Laura tear him a new one. Obviously hit home because he looked shook up for a while after she nailed him.
Ted Baxter agrees with whomever or whatever strokes his ego and gives him more face time. He deserves to just fade away. If he sucked even a little bit more, the moon would be sucked out of orbit.
UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE. I wish I had a time machine—I would go back 50 years. Everyday there is a new issue “solved”/sarc. that makes our future look even more bleak. I just don’t know how the country survives another 3 years :(
O'Reilly may want to "stick it to the Arabs", but he ignores the fact that oil and natural gas production is already here, albeit atrophied. It is a known process and a mature industry - and it has a distribution infrastructure. The "green energy" garbage that Obama is pushing is much more than 15 years away from supplanting petroleum usage (at the levels needed for today's energy consumption, no growth over fifteen years considered).
On the campaign trail, Sarah Palin said that it would take decades to gradually shift from petroleum to alternative sources. Obama thinks we can do it "cold turkey", and with no feasible replacement energy source even being discussed at this point. That is sheer idiocy, taken to a very dangerous level.
If we were really serious about replacing petroleum, we'd start first by building a new nuclear power plant for every major city, and encouraging use of electric vehicles in metro areas. If the price of the vehicles and the electricity is right, people will buy them.
Until that is done, there's no point in discussing the issue further. Solar and wind power is not going to suffice - now, or in the next fifteen years.
How about something really original, let’s let the market decide.
O’Reilly won’t drive the sardine can that he wants to force US into. Hypocrite.
O’Reilly is a shill for Obama for his own selfish reasons.
He isn’t intellectually dishonest, though. One must have the intellect to understand what he’s talking about, and O’Really seems to be lacking in this area.
Why do people continue to watch that loudmouth, statist SOB anyway? He’s a self-aggrandizing idiot.
