Political expediency can prove to be very tricky maneuvering. Alren Specter left the Republican Party for the self ascribed reason that his political career was much too important to allow Republicans in the Republican primary to decide his highly esteemed political fate. Well how the worm turns...

I feel almost as much sympathy for Arlen as I do for fire ants when I pour gasoline on their mound...

The very best part is that I didn’t expect Arlen’s comeuppance to “comeup” this swiftly!

The daily posts are so sweet!

A funny thing happened on the way to the front of the Democrat seniority line ... , the Democrats in the Senate voted to strip Specter of his seniority. ... The vote ... left him with the power of a freshman.

The all important, all mighty, the center of the American Senate, Arlen Specter now is the equivalent of a Democrat freshman with dim to no chance of winning the Democrat primary.

LOL! What goes around comes around.

This is a lesson on the mythology that leftist are the champions of “tolerance”.

At least the Manhattoes got their $24 worth of beads and trinkets BEFORE they sold the island.

I originally thought I felt a little sympathy for Senator Specter, but it turned out that it was just the sauerkraut I had for lunch.

The icing, so to speak, will be when the sea-anchor known as “snarlin’ Arlen” drags down the dhimmis, ensuring Toomey’s victory.

The truly amusing thing about Benedict Arlen is that had he just retired gracefully, he could have moved into the role of “elder statesman”, been a darling of the MSM, been invited into prestigious corporate boards and generally made huge sums of money like Algore.

But now he is as loved and respected as a bloated and stinking dead raccoon underneath the floorboards, that everyone just wishes would go away, but no amount of deodorant can conceal.

What issues can Specter possibly give that will appeal to dim voters if he gets a good primary opponent? Specter is gone, either by primary or by the general election next year.

And will democrats issue the final coup de grace by presenting Arlen the Magnificent with a primary rival? Well, 80 years old, a proven coward, thug, traitor and sell-out. Thoroughly unreliable, breathtakingly arrogant and self-absorbed. Sure, on the face of it he appears to be the perfect dem candidate! But there is a God and there will be a primary!

That’s the sheer beauty of it.

Specter has gone overnight from being a stinking albatross around the neck of the pubbies to being a stinking albatross around the neck of the dems.

They HAVE to find some way of disposing of him in the primaries or else his seat will be going republican next year.

Furthermore, there is the possibility that, as others have remarked, he might decide to spend his last months in office venting his rage at the dems for not following through with their promises and give them massive indigestion.

Spector got just what he deserved from the dems. But then the dem party is just chock full of dumbasses anyway.

I guess Arlene just found out what most of us already know...Never trust a Democrat.

Arlenes ship (so he thought) was set to sail but unfortunately he was at the airport.

Spector’s internal polling must be a disaster area for him to make a boneheaded move like this. To me it says he saw he re-election chances almost hopeless.

The best thing about the RINO leaving the GOP is that he will be MIA....lost in the crowd...no more TV interviews because he won’t make a difference.
