That said, I still must stand up for A-Rod as he's facing the worst smear job of his career. Yes, he shamed the game by using steroids but the latest allegations are a different story and the person making those allegations is the same one who tried and convicted the Duke lacrosse players before they even were able to speak before a judge. Once they were exonerated, she never once wrote a word retracting her slurs or apologizing to the players. She ruined the lives of three young men because they were rich, white and, well, men.
That person is former NY Times reporter Selena Roberts. She's the first to write anything bad involving a male athlete because she's a typical hypocritical women's libber.

As far as what A-Rod is guilty of, it's winning when it counts in the playoffs. As someone who isn't a Yankee fan, that's fine with me.
She didn’t hate Michael Vick. She thinks he’s a national hero.
A-Roid? He is pals with Madonna and Warren Buffett. Most Yankees fans cannot stand him either.
We sure hated him here in Texas when he played for the Rangers. He set the franchise back for years.
Sorry, but A-Rod is Obama in pinstripes. It’s all about him.
But compared to that leftist, feminist, man-hating bitch Selena Roberts, he's a good guy.
Doing roids back in high school, tipping pitches to opposing hitters and doing roids with the Yanks
“tipping pitches to opposing hitters”
how an why did she say he did that and could do that?
The story is that you help out an opposing hitter (that you know) when the game is out of reach and he needs hit. Baseball insiders are saying it’s BS since there is no way A-Roid could really do that from his vantage point.
I will never understand such seething anger at a sports figure. Unless you’re a bookie or a member of Gambler’s Anonymous ... does it really matter that much?
I love baseball. Its a shame A-Rod, Bonds, etc. cheated. It screws up the record books. But it really IS just a game.

Apparently it’s common for the shortstop or second baseman (who can see the catcher’s sign to the pitcher) to tip the pitch through some kind of signal to the rest of the infield so that they can be ready; a hitter is more likely to hit a curve to one particular area of the infield and a fastball to another. So far, so good. But it’s alleged that A-Rod made the signal early (before the hitter had to focus on the pitcher) in the late innings of blowouts so that his friends on other teams could know what was coming and had a chance to pick up a hit or two.
I just don’t see the big deal here. He’s already an admitted cheater, the most she’s doing with the book is accusing him of cheating even more. If he did what she says he’s a cheater, if he didn’t do what she says he’s still a cheater. One way or the other baseball won’t punish him.
A-Roid is a sleazebag deserving of absolutely no sympathy.
