The White House says an inquiry will take place into a photo-op that happened Monday over New York City. The cost of the photo-op is now more than $300,000.
I still find it hard to believe that President Obama, Rahmbo, Robert Gibbs et. al. had no idea this stunt was planned. It's like Johnny Cochran's "Chewbacca Defense". Chewbacca is a wookie, but he lives on Endor (home of the Ewoks); it just doesn't make sense.
The price includes over $35,000 in jet fuel. I demand the White House pay a "cap-and-trade" tax on these carbon emissions.

Mighty expensive pics. I think the American people have a right to see what we paid for.
Sadly, this is something every President does. Both Bush’s, Clinton, Reagan, and on back. SOP for some odd reason, they all do it.
Even Chukles Schumer was upset.
At the end of the clip.
They were also planning a photo-op above the Washington Capital too, but that one, they just cancelled.
This suggest to me, they intended to use those photos for propaganda purposes to elevate obama, but it backfired
Schumer was scapegoating faa, deflect blame from the white house. He was in damage control
And even if they DID warn the public before hand that they were going to be doing this, it still was a ridiculously insensitive thing to do anywhere near ground zero, whether folks there were prepared for it or not.
How many crew the AF1 plane, even when the president isn't there and what are they paid? Who cooked the food, bartended and served for the passengers that were there for the joyride? How about the salaries of the pilots of the planes? How about the time 911 operators spent fielding calls? The lost revenue for the businesses emptied in the panic? The cost to the NYPD for dealing with the panic? The fuel? The minutes I lost creating the following picture?
It was a photo-op all right. For Obama and his buddies inside the plane.
What??? What are you smoking??
.3% of the $100 million saved already used up!
Something is fishy here. We are flat out being lied to about something. Where was the photo plane? If it was the F-16 (somehow) then he needs to produce the photos pretty quick.
Theres no reason whatsoever to keep photos of this nature secret. If the bastard can release photos of Gitmo, the memos, etc, all in the name of openess, then we deserve the photos and a passenger manifest. (openess ya know!)
The White House Military Office has a check list of things to do with every new President. One of them is to take photos of AF1 flying over NYC, Mt Rushmore, and other famous National landmarks. They are given out as gifts by White House Staff, WHCA, WH Military Office, and USSS personnel during trips.
Dislike Obama for legitimate reasons, but this had nothing to do with Obama. Every single modern President has this done.
You need to post that photo here
But only obama and company do it after 9-11 in New York democrats have no brains.
One BIG difference. No other president has been breaking everyone else’s balls for use of private jets. No other president has told us we will have to live a more austere life. No other president is a devoted follower of AlGore and his assaholic global warming CO2 cult.
Thats the difference even if his story is true. He needs to walk the talk.
Doesn't make sense. The same plane flying over the same landmarks. Government workers and all, sure, but doesn't make sense.
Can you provide a link to this alleged "checklist."
Also, can you produce the photos of Air Force One flying by the Statue of Liberty from the last Bush Administration? The Clinton Administration? The first Bush Administration? The Reagan years? The Carter years?
Your contention is that they are mandatory for the White House office and given to hundreds, if not thousands, of supporters. Should be very easy to produce.
Just did. Thanks!
lol I’ll have to check it out tommorrow when they post them all.....shame on the white House
