Professor Jan Blits, of the University of Delaware Honors Program said:
“The immediate effects were to intimidate and humilate students, the long term effect is to teach conformity, students should not think for themselves, they should follow the dictates of some authority.”
“This is what they meant by citizenship, to teach students that America is an oppressive country, and they are responsible and they must change in order to change America.”
