WEEKNIGHTS at 9 ET on BLOG TALK RADIOPROGRAM SCHEDULE
Next Show: Thursday, April 16 at 9 pm ET.
THE ANDREA SHEA KING SHOW - TONIGHT AT 9 ET.
Pour yourself a stiff one. Preferably straight up.
Havent you gotten the memo? The War on Terror has been won!
Now the Obama administration has a new enemy in its sights: Right-wing Extremists!
But exactly who are these extremists? Can we really believe that we are being told to be more suspicious of each other as law-abiding Americans, rather than on the alert against the true enemies of our country?
Is our nation truly at risk from teabag-wielding First and Second Amendment Rights advocates? And were the "Lone Wolf McVeighs" really the threat for which George W Bush established the Department of Homeland Security after September 11, 2001? Wasn't it actually formed to help protect the United States from FOREIGN Islamic Terrorists who hijacked and flew commercial airlines into buildings?
Speaking of which, we'll take a look at the recent rescue of the Maersk Alabama Captain Richard Phillips, held hostage by Pirates (foreign Islamic Terrorists) who were killed by Navy Seals snipers, revives the debate over arming crews.
Should crews of commercial vessels be armed?
And here's one that'll have you reaching for a drink -- HR 45 - the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009.
This legislation will make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
- You are fingerprinted
- You supply a current Driver's License
- You supply a Social Security number
- You submit to a physical and or mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
- Each update- change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25
Otherwise, you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
A child provision clause requires that a gun be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely and if you aren't? Up to 5 years in prison.
With us tonight to address these issues -- the executive director of the 300,000 strong member organization Gun Owners of America (GOA), Larry Pratt.
Bottoms up.

The strange thing is, Ashcroft evidenty has no clue how easy it is for a woman to get a restraining order. It’s a simply form turned in at the clerk’s office, and then one hearing.
Good-bye gun rights.
Eh, no problem.
Good grief.

I think you posted to the wrong thread. This thread is about the DHS Right-wing extremist assessment and HR 45. Both of which are real. Nothing was said in the article about OBUMA’S ARMY.

"Now were both seeking help. LOL"
...true. ;-)
Over the past couple of years, I've been finding out more about who my good (mostly) and bad (very few) local neighbors are. Most of us have more in common, politically, than not--even some of the young, dumb Democrats. They're getting more interested in gardening, building, livestock, family, firearms sports, etc. So we share technical and recreation knowledge. Most of us have found that we don't have much at all in common with most of the politicians and constituents who support them.

"We know that the obuma punks and cowards are spreading fear to frighten women and children. We need to counter that the best we can."
Agreed! Some of the Hillary-wing Democrats are vindictive. They would like to rouse up some Reno-like action. Those attempts to stir the pot are best ridiculed then ignored. As for many of the Democrat constituents, they are idealists and believe that some problems can be stopped--completely eradicated. But they're not getting any younger, and they're not having a whole lot of kids. And the rest of the Democrat politicians are...politicians. They know who pays them and propagandizes for them.
And as for Napolitano's announcement about veterans and the like, most of our local and federal police will not pay much undue attention to us in general. They are individuals with their own minds, too, and the world is not a television show. They see nutty politicians as the rest of us do. Granted, a few of them go along with weird social trends and local troublemakers, and some of them get unnecessarily excited, at times. But most of them are just trying to get by. They're our neighbors, too. They're not getting any younger, either.
