Amen. If they don’t think anybody is going to do anything, they will be emboldened more and more each time which had been happening.

Well after Sarkozy gave the go ahead to the French Commandos who stormed that yacht, there was no way Obambi could continue to dither without looking like a stereotypical liberal bedwetter. If he didn't do the obvious thing here, I'd question not just his balls, but his political survival instincts. The question is why didn't they take these clowns down the second it appeared they weren't surrendering.

Watch the DUmmies crow about their fearless leader. Though a few will weep for the poor pirates who were just protecting their fishing waters lol.

The only way “The One” can show any testicles in this situation is now send in seal teams, or the marines, and take out the pirate infrastructure within Somalia.

Its been 105 years, but I bet there are some old manuals on how to deal with Pirates. Its probably under “Rrrrr” in the filing system.

Are you sure he made any call?

Outstanding! A clear and heavy message needs to be sent to show these fools that we will not stand by and let these ships be taken over.

If one of my neighbors had a "peace sign" in the window that'd probably mean he was trying to trick someone inside so he could kill him (more than likely).

This is not exactly "the hood", but doggone it man, not everybody is that well wrapped you know.

Some of the people on this thread have no appreciation for th ironic, but what’s even worse to me are the people who run screaming to the moderator or even Jim if they encounter something they don’t like. In this case you got both reactions. :)

I owe everyone an apology regarding this. I could have sworn Bambi would wait until Wednesday to launch a rescue attempt. This would have trilialized the Tea Parties.

I guess Philips jumping overboard again dashed Bambis hopes.

Go Navy!!

Oh, the press will ignore that anyways. They’ll find some school lunch program that will benefit from the taxes to report.

I would prefer video of pirate pieces floating in the water where their boat once was.

From what I’ve been able to find, Obama actually ordered the assault. Ergo (and trust me, this isn’t easy), good job, Obama. I’m still opposed to almost everything he does, but I don’t want to be like a Kostard or DUmmy - I’ll give Obama credit on the rare occasions it is due.

PS First time I’ve actually used Obama’s name in months...

Credit where credit is due........Obama made the right call here and our Navy pulled it off like the heroes they are (when we let ‘em.......)

Obama has been the problem from the moment this situation started. He is the Commander in Chief and the reason this captain wasn't rescued sooner (when he jumped in the water the first time) was because the navy most likely had orders by the Commander in Chief not to do anything. Now the media is spinning that it took the Seals a long time to implement this rescue plan and that's why they didn't rescue the capt. sooner.

These soldiers are professionals, and they are highly trained specifically for these kinds of terrorists attacks. It would've taken them just a few hours to execute a plan like this, maybe sooner.  Instead it took days.  Come on!  Obama was revealed to be a weak, inept, and incompetent individual. Obama's people were negotiating with the terrorists, for crying out loud!  Then the negotiations broke down, and in the meantime days had passed and the life of this captain was in danger.

Obama should have known that you can't negotiate with terrorists and that there was no need to expose Capt. Phillips to possible torture and death at the hands of these individuals for so many days. The rescue plan should have been implemented a lot sooner. We don't know many of the details of the last several days, because the media is more interested in covering for this man rather than asking him the tough question. That this whole situation dragged on for days speaks poorly of the so-called leader, and shows weakness and ineptitude. We don't know or if there was a call made by Obama, and if there was it means Obama had to accept reality, look the other way (since Obama hasn't taken credit for this), and let the professionals do their job.  If he didn't make the call, hooray for the professionals for taking the initiative, demonstrating once again that Obama is a lousy leader.

Obama is in trouble with the Muslims though, because his approach makes him look no different than Bush.  Furthermore, they are going to view him as weak, and I wouldn't be surprised if terrorists attacks on Americans everywhere start happening with greater frequency. Obama doesn't want to showcase that he had a big part in this operation because that's not the image he wants to portray to the Muslim world, but I'm sure they can see through the smoke.

The video in the title is nothing but news geeks parroting what they heard.

Now I know there is video available of these little sawed off AHs being shot up....And I know the Navy has the video.

Lets go Navy...Release the video, so we can all enjoy it.
