Here is a video report on the tragic death last night of Los Angeles Angels Pitcher Nick Adenhart. Adenhart pitched six scoreless innings last night against the Oakland A's, and then was killed last night in a car accident when his vehicle was hit by a suspected drunk driver. Adenhart and two others in his vehicle were killed. The driver who hit Adenhart fled the scene on foot and was caught by police about 30 minutes later. He was reportedly driving on a suspended license. Adenhart was only 22 years old. The Angels-A's game scheduled for tonight has been postponed.

I heard about this on Rush I think. Poor kid was younger than me.
22 years old I believe.
Yes; I turn 24 in October. Death can take you anytime, anywhere. Considering he pitched 6 scoreless innings the night he was killed, he had a promising future ahead of him.
I hope the drunk driver never breathes free air again. Triple murder, driving on a suspended license, topping it all off with one of those being a Major League pitcher.
It appears all 3 who died in the car had promising futures.
I saw him pitch at the game last night and was impressed with my teams future prospect. Who would have thought it would be the last time he’d pitch. Such a horrible tragedy
Prayers out to the Adenhart family and the families of his friends who died with him.
Mugshot from 06 arrest for DUI on left. His quote:
"I understand that if I continue to drink and drive it may result in death or serious bodily injury to another person."
Mugshot in middle from 07 Drunk and Disorderly Conduct.
Plus another recent photo of this fine, upstanding citizen who fled the scene of the crime after he caused the deaths of 3 people. Cops said he was drinking AGAIN when he ran the red light and ended 3 young lives.
Courtney Stewart, driver of the car Adenhart was in 20 years old, now dead as well. R.I.P.
Sheesh. Condolences to Nick Adenhart’s family and friends.
...and...Courtney Stewart’s family and friends. (thanks for posting, bob)
