Same was true in Seattle. Not many come to New York. We get more West Africans (especially from Senegal and Liberia, the latter of whom are starting to dominate the parking lot attendent profession), while the East Africans we do get tend to be the better educated Ethiopians and Eritreans (who came in larger numbers back in the 1980s, and mostly went down to DC or out west anyway).
The biggest group of Muslims I see coming to NYC (especially Queens and the Bronx) are the Bangladeshis, followed by the Pakis and Yemeni.
Here we have mostly Mexercans who aside from being illegal and having gang problems ...those outside that crap work but they have dropped off as has work....it’s hard to tell how many damned Mexicans are around you know....who knows?
same for Guats and Salvos and Hondos...
at peak Nashville metro prolly had 150,000 latinos out of 1.7M folks maybe more
next come Kurds.....not sure how many...15,000-25,000...they are clannish...women have hairy arms and unibrows but nice hair ...gangs and crime as well but also some well behaved.
Arabs, Somalis, Eritrians, Ethiopians, Afghans, Iraqis, Iranians et.....hell, who knows...plenty...Iranians and Somalis tied in numbers
African Negroes....mostly Nigerians....a few outliers
Russians Jews....a few thousand..
Europeans, South African Whites, Aussies, NZ and so forth....not many..
Japanese....Nissan and all...a few
Hindi Peoples.....enough for two temples that look like the architect was on acid.
