DenverIn order to strike a blow to irresponsible drivers and save the children, the Colorado House of Representatives passed a measureHouse Bill 1094restricting the use of cell phones to hands free devices, and banning flatulence for drivers of motor vehicles.
The resounding victory came on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, in a 39 25 vote, ending the scourge of drivers on the highway that use cell phones and pass gas. The bill was brought by Rep. Claire Levy, D-Boulder, to protect other drivers, children and the environment.

Well if you have to take a call or let one rip, just pull over to the side of the road.

I heard Vermont is thinking of adding DWC (driving while conservative) to their list of traffic pullovers.

The Colorado House Bill 1094 is a very real bill that does restrict the use of cell phones to “hands free devices.”
The rest is satirical.

In Texas there are PSAs to limit “passing gas” in cars. The method of “gas” release (discussed later in the ad)? Cigarette smoke.
Don’t be so sure that they WON’T outlaw it.

The cell phone restriction is very real, and I wouldn’t be surprised.

This sure puts the brakes on my HFRV, Human Flatulence Reclamation Vehicle. A bowl of beans and cheese will give the driver 30 miles worth of alternative driving. There are kinks to be worked out. Some test drivers have complained about the rectal insertion devise that has to be installed before the driving adventure begins, but that is a minor, engineering obstacle.

Nope. Far too much of a carbon foot print. Keep thinking of other alternative energies.
