I'm about sick of the media's attempts to make Michelle Obama out to be some world trend setter or some overly attractive woman. I find her fashion sense unappealing to her body shape and size and I don't particularly find her attractive in any way. There it has been said. Something that it seems many are afraid to state openly for fear of being called a racist. As with immigration , this as well has nothing to do with race and everything to do with lies.
I'm not usually one to denigrate someone based on their looks, but I've had about enough of this bullshit about how gorgeous Michelle Obama is and the truth must be spoken. I won't go as far as saying "You can put lipstick on a pig...", but you can do a "glamor shot" of anyone after spending 3 hours putting makeup on them and portray them as something they are not. I believe this "false face" mentality is part of why this country is falling apart.

Why am I wasting time on this? Yes, there are more important things going on that I should be discussing, but the question begs to be asked, "If they are willing to lie and paint over something as basic as someones appearance and dress, what important things are they lying and painting over?" The media is so enthralled with selling more magazines that they have created a monster that gullible people want to find out more about. Only, if truth be told, there is nothing to see.
And might I remind everyone that Michelle Obama was not elected, yet the media covers and encourages her to stick her nose into things she knows nothing about and things the American people didn't ask her to stick her nose in.
While I don't find her physically disgusting, she's no more attractive than any other woman you might see everyday. However the media is trying to portray her as some kind of goddess. They are using the Big Lie tactic, which I have discovered are described in Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler (and others noted below long before Hitler) as follows:

When it comes to Michelle Obama, I couldn't agree more. All the talk of her as some celebrity is sickening. It is a colossal lie that is so large that people can't believe the media have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. To you all I say, don't be a dumbass.
Anyone who would believe this crap about Michelle Obama and start dressing like this made up "trend setter" is a complete and utter failure at their own life. There I said that too.
I'm not even angry about this topic. It is simple disgust. Disgust that people would fall for this. Disgust that someone would even attempt to make it up.

You know, now that you mention it, it does appear that her nose has been slimmed down and her facial features smoothed out.
Now I'm going to have to smack you because you made me have to look at her pictures for comparison purposes. ;)
She is reasonably attractive, but she walks like a linebacker. Granted, it is a walk typical of very tall female athletes.
Ok I’ll give you that she’s not BAD looking but what I don’t get is that when Sarah Palin was running you never heard the media raving about HER looks even though she’s way prettier than Michelle. She’s not movie star gorgeus but the kind of beautful you find in everyday women in America. Michelle can’t hold a candle to Sarah but the media acted like she had cooties or something!
One must always be prepared to flatter the wife of big brother. The penalty for suspicion of disloyalty is social exile. Pretty soon they will up the ante and send you to forced labor camps for insulting Michelle’s wardrobe.

The same Big Lie tactic was used to magnify the “financial crisis” with dollar amounts so large that it stunned people and from there on any smaller amount, though still immense, seemed reasonable. Hitler used the term impudence while Obama uses audacity. They are the same in application.

I agree. She isn’t “supermodel” pretty, but I think she is an attractive woman. Frankly, I think if you put the late Princess Diana (may she rest in peace) in a supermodel search, she wouldn’t rate either. But, for the roles they hold/held as wives of powerful figures, they are/were attractive enough. I don’t get all the fawning over Barak and Michelle. I don’t think any of us are under that spell. However, the fact that the press wants to make a fuss of Michelle’s style is the least of my worries. It is troubling in the sense that it reinforces the “style-over-substance” mentality of the left, but you don’t counter that by trying to discredit her appearance. You counter that by rendering style irrelevant.

but the media is not used to Klingons and therefore has to promote this critter as “stylish, and fashionable” because they have no idea what is truly attractive in the Klingon world.
