The Whiteboard
UPDATE -- SURPRISE EVENT:
Obama made an unannounced visit to Arlington National Cemetery for a Medal of Honor ceremony -- which the White House just left off of his schedule today. This was Obama's first wreath-laying as president of the United States. -- Carol E. Lee (2:35 p.m.)
COMING UP -- ROBERT GIBBS: Will he be asked...
1) How much of the presidents original proposals need to be included in the final budget for the White House to consider this a victory? Is he willing to compromise on cap and trade?
2) Why didnt Reuters or any of the major newspapers get to ask a question at the news conference last night?
3) Can you comment Geithner's comments to the Council on Foreign Relations, where he suggested that the U.S. is open to a new currency proposal by the governor of China's central bank? Geithner called it "evolutionary." What do you call it?
4) Can you speak to the events on the Hill today? Is the president closer to changing any minds on his budget proposals? (2:27 p.m.)

Obama laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. He was joined by several living recipients of the medal.
March 25 of each year is National Medal of Honor Day.

Ooops .. Yahoo didn't have these in their regular queue yet.
Pictures HERE
Looks like he's withholding parts of his schedule from the press. This had to have been scheduled in advance.
God bless those who gave all for our freedom; comfort their families and brothers in arms.
~~God bless our awesome troops .. PING! We can never repay them for all they’ve given.
MOH bump!
Friggin' Eleanor Roosevelt looked better.
I think these brave men deserve another medal for politely putting up with the ‘Obamanation’ during this ceremony!
That’s MO .. pandering recently to the military.
It’s the push you/pull you, good cop/bad cop routine.
Joined by, or confronted by? Or maybe he just crashed their event. But I don't think anyone seriously believes he was joined by anyone on America's side.
Among the group of more than 30 recipients visiting the Exchange was John Finn, who received the first Medal of Honor in World War II and will turn 100 in July 2009.
Video here .
Don’t get me started on Eleanor......
So far this one has been a peach compared to TWO of her predecessors.
~~PING!
I thought Al Jolson passed on.

I just don’t recall this kind of video
coverage for the many military events
that Pres. Bush attended.
“This had to have been scheduled in advance.”
If it was not even The Old Guard knew about it. This wreath laying has been on our calendar for about a month.
If the POTUS is going to be at an event that we have our people at...we know in advance.
He can pander all he wants to Star...but despite what the Libs say about us...we aren’t that dumb to fall for it.
another one of Michellemybelle’s worst flippin’ outfits, her closet must be so horrifying to open...
Absolutely, tx. Were you announcing
today ? Thank you for ALL you do in
service to our country.
Great picture!
